ELECTRICIANS WHO HAVE DOWNLOADED THE NEW NEXANS APP ARE FINDING EASIER ACCESS TO ALL TOOLS AND SERVICES THROUGH ONE SINGLE ENTRY. The app is free to download from the App Store and Google Play and embeds a series of functionalities such as a product catalogue, EASYCALC, news feed as well as an FAQ, allowing users to access a knowledge base related to a variety of topics such as regulations, installation and standards. EASYCALC – NEXANS CABLE SIZING TOOL After several years of usage and proven efficiency among electricians, Nexans EASYCALC has integrated with the Nexans App. Nexans continue to evolve EASYCALC with their customers in mind and have recently added a range of flexibles, providing even more usability. With an easy step-by-step sequence to select information, EASYCALC has a large list of cables for variable installation conditions such as air or soil temperature, soil depth and thermal resistivity. Users can calculate current or power, de-rate cable runs on an adjacent circuit and if there is a need for heavy current loads, the app changes to run cables in parallel or multi-circuit options! Once calculations have been entered, the app will email individual product data sheets with codes in an easy to read format including pictures. Sparkies using EASYCALC as a stand-alone app will need to make the switch to the Nexans App while the web-based version of EASYCALC remains available from www.nexans.co.nz. OTHER KEY FEATURES The Nexans App includes a catalogue where access to product data sheets, installation instructions, regulatory information, user manuals and all related documents are found. To find a product needed, just enter its reference number, perform a general search or just browse the catalogue.
