SUPERMARKETS
Continente: Has a store in Lagos, with underground parking. The complex also has a Worten electrical store, MO clothes shop, sports shop and Wells health store. There is a larger Continente in Portimão, if you want a wider selection of produce. You can also download their app to get home deliveries or click and collect.

Pingo Doce: Has two stores in Lagos. The larger being by the bridge which offers a good selection of goods at competitive prices. There is also a good take away counter and coffee shop. There is a small clothing store in the shop as well as a laundry and florist.
Intermarche: Offers more imported goods and is therefore popular with ex-pats and tourists but is more expensive than the Portuguese supermarkets. There is a store in Lagos, Budens, Portimão, and Aljezur. The Lagos supermarket has a good take out section and a sushi counter. Attached to the supermarket is a florist, newsagents and Burger King. There is also a Fnac store which sells electrical goods, toys and some books in English.
Lidl: Located in Lagos, this is a very popular store which has recently been refurbished and offers a good range of products at reasonable prices.
Aldi: The Aldi store has also been recently extended and is located near Continente offering more international and German brands at discount prices. Baptista: This is a family run store popular with British ex-pats for many years, offering more luxury imported products. Located in Praia da Luz it also has a popular coffee shop, bakery and newsagents. The prices are higher than local supermarkets. It does offer a home delivery service if you email info@baptista.shop
Apolonia: If you want to purchase more luxury, imported products Apolonia in Lagoa is popular with expats to stock up on goods that Portuguese supermarkets may not stock.

Catering If you want to have a night in without cooking, ask your representative to organise home catering, a great way to enjoy being waited on in the comfort of your own home.
SHOPPING CENTRES
Aqua Located 26km away on the A22, it will take you around 25 minutes to reach Aqua from Lagos and is the most frequented shopping destination for residents. It has a good variety of shops, including Primark, H&M, Footlocker, JD sports, a large hypermarket and a food court.
Mar Shopping Centre Located in Loulé, this is the biggest shopping complex in southern Portugal, which opened its doors in 2017. It has 110 retail outlets, including IKEA, Primark, Mango and Zara. There is also a Designer Outlet, kids playground and cinema.
Forum Algarve Located in Faro, this shopping centre has over 200 boutiques and department stores, restaurants, a hypermarket and a cinema.
Algarve Shopping Located at Guia (near Albufeira) has 130 stores, a hypermarket and a food court.
Quinta Shopping An ‘up-market’ mall within the Quinta do Lago resort. Here you will find top brand names in fashion, jewellery and cosmetics.

There are lots of local markets throughout the Algarve, offering you fresh fruit, vegetables, fish and other local specialities. Find a list of the main markets here:
Lagos Monthly Market Called the “gypsy market” by the locals, you can buy anything from live chickens to clothes or trainers. 1st Saturday of the month. Location: ground next to the Municipal Stadium
Odiáxere Monthly Market This village on the N125 east of Lagos holds a monthly gypsy market. 4th Monday of the month. Location: Largo da Alegria (next to the Windmill)
Vivo Mercado Lagos Vivo Mercado is a market day for the sale of local and organic products and handicrafts. Besides the focus on organic agriculture, there is entertainment, a children’s area, and a group of traders who share the motto ‘from stall to plate’. Every Wednesday 4pm–8pm. Lagos Flea Market 1st Sunday of the month, 8am–2pm Location: Lagos Sports Complex Car Park
Monchique A gypsy market selling handicrafts of wicker, wood and ceramics, household and dry goods. 2nd Friday of the month Location: Market square
Portimão This market offers its visitors clothing, footwear, homeware and hardware equipment, jewellery and seasonal horticultural products such as cheeses and sausages, along with an array of other products. 1st Monday of the month 8am-3pm Location: Fairs and Exhibition Centre

Silves Flea Market 3rd Saturday of the month. Location: Al-Muthamid Square
Loulé Market If you fancy a drive the Mercado de Loulé on Saturdays is a very popular market to visit.
