NEW Fabric Development New In 2010 we introduced Eco Aztec, and our latest development is Aztec Plus – a fabric that brings the benefits of canvas, but at a significantly reduced weight. Canvas has been a mainstay in the New Zealand outdoors for generations – legendary for its durability and long term weatherproofness. Macpac has been using Aztec canvas for over 30 years, and has worked continually to improve the performance of the fabric. The fabric is a blend of 65% Polyester and 35% Cotton, which is then treated with a propriety blend of waxes and resins. The 2 ply ringspun yarn is very densely woven – 71 threads per cm – to deliver greatly improved water resistance and lighter weight, with only a small sacrifice in breaking strength. 2 ply ringspun yarn Layer of unique blend of waxes and resins 35% Cotton fibres
