3f group Celebrating 50 years
the 3F Group
The idea like a seed, roots into a large tree supporting diversity.
“The potential of a seed is not recognised, until one fine day we see it standing strong, majestic and gigantic as a tree. It’s the tree that captures our attention and not the seed from which it sprouts!”
3F began modestly in 1960 with Food Fats & Fertilisers Ltd. Since then, 3F has become a conglomerate with business interests in 20 diverse industrial areas. This was all made possible by the powerful visionary, Mr. B.K Goenka (Chairman and Managing Director) who was able to foresee opportunities and fashion paths for 3F’s exponential growth. While we began with edible oil extraction and refining at Food Fats & Fertilisers Ltd., we realized that vertical and horizontal acquisitions were the secret to higher value additions. Thereby 3F began its journey into oil palm cultivation, manufacture of edible oils and its by-products, bakery shortenings and margarine, specialty fats. Our expertise in these areas has brought us recognition as one of the largest ‘Bakery fat & Margarine’ manufacturers in India and ‘World leaders in Specialty fats ( CBS ) Technology.’ One thing led to the other and we began diversifying into different industries becoming a prominent conglomerate. Today, the 3F group has global operations in the areas of - Manufacturing & Trading, Garments, Granites, Apparels, Infrastructure, Power & Energy, Commodity trading. With a committed team enterprise of over 5000 employees, intrinsic faith, a positive spirit, the 3F group has steered past the Indian landscape to expand overseas. Ever since, we have been growing steadily and receiving goodwill in all regions we operate, nationally and internationally. The 3F group is forever exploring a new possibility, a new network and an altogether new way of simplifying business.

These products have been customized to suit the needs of various confectioners. The Specialty Fats division observes stringent quality assurance systems in its processes. Through in-house development of process technology, FFF pioneered in India, the process of both dry fractionation and solvent fractionation. These techniques have been used to manufacture world-class Sal, Mango & Shea stearine, illipe & kokum fats and high quality Palm Mid Fraction (IV-33). These products find extensive application in the manufacture of cocoa butter equivalents (CBE),which are used in the chocolate industry.
