Situated right in Scandinavia, only 3 km from the Swedish border and 120 km from Oslo, we create magic from fire and sand! Magnor Glassverk was founded in 1896. We are proud of our history, yet dedicated to remaining an innovator in the industry. Each year we launch two new collections, collaborating with some of the best designers and artists in Norway. We want to create glass and crystal that will generate happiness, enthusiasm and pleasure for generations.
All of our glass products are handmade with great care and affection by skilled craftsmen.
At Magnor Glassverk, we have a factory outlet which is open all year round. In the glass hut, you can see glassblowers in action on weekdays. In the summer you can choose to blow your own glass or buy factory seconds at affordable prices.

Magnor works with some of Norway's best interor- and productdesigners and artists. Glass is one of the world's most difficult materials to shape - in the fraction of a moment the hot mass hardens and the product is created.

Halvor Bakke

Halvor Bakke is one of Norway’smost popular interior designers, also known as a presenter from the TV programme ”Eventyrlig Oppussing” (“Adventurous Renovation”). He has designed interiors, furniture, colour charts, wallpapers, bedlinen, kitchens, bathrooms, and cabins. Halvor Bakke knows his interior and constantly brings new inspiration to Norwegian homes. For Magnor the successfully designed the series , Cape, Lerk, Linen, Lux, Noir, Nostalgi, Pure, Rocks, Savanna, Skyline and Vera. His latest designs are OLD FARM COLLECTION and ROCKS XO. Halvor Bakke and his interior design never fail to impress!

Teresa Bergerud is a experienced designer and has over the last 20 years worked with different materials, products, other designers and disciplines.. She was the head of design at Magnor from 2009-2015. Today she is working as a designer and product developer for Magnor, and is in charge for Studio Magnor. Teresa Bergerud has Cand. Mag in Productdesign from Oslo MET (2003) and has experience as the founder of Gulberg Design, with art direction, comminication, graphic design and as an owner of a furniture factory. For Magnor, she has designed Alba and Husnisse.
Marna Haugen After Rain
Marna Haugen is an award-winning influencer who stands for good values. She is known for being open and honest about life's ups and downs, and has collaborated with charities. She has design experience from a jewelery collection for Thune and a bedding collection for Princess. Marna comes from an artistic family and draws well. As an influencer, she has been voted the people's favorite three times during the Vixen Influencer Awards. Marna has garnered a lot of praise for her honesty and sincerity about her battle with cancer, which she has been struck by twice. Marna is now making her debut as a designer for Magnor with the beautiful art glass series AFTER RAIN, which is a tribute to life.
Jan Vincents Johannessen, Himmel på Jord, Min Første Julekule
Jan Vincents Johannessen is one of the best multi-disciplinary artists in Norway. His artistic scope includes paintings, prints, photography, glass art, film, design, books, poetry and music. Within music, Johannessen has composed numerous songs for Norwegian and international stars. Most notably he wrote the lyrics to the official Olympic song, “Se ilden lyse” and “Fire in Your Heart” recorded by Sissel / Placido Domingo, and “Himmel på jord”, recorded by Kurt Nilsen. For Magnor. Jan Vincents Johannessen designed the Christmas baubles HIMMEL PÅ JORD with angel feathers and MIN FØRSTE JULEKULE.
Knut & Kjartan
Iglo, Fjord, Jippi & Truls
Knut og Kjartan became known to the public through their participation in the reality show “Sommerhytta” (Summer Cabin) on the Norwegian TV2. Here the viewers did not just follow their renovations but also their process of having their daughter through surrogacy in the US. Today, Olivia colors their world. With the interior series IGLO, Knut & Kjartan designed their debut collection for Magnor Glassworks. This collection was very successful, just like the children’s tableware JIPPI & TRULS. Their latest collection is the beautiful and classic porcelain tableware FJORD, which is a tribute to all grandmothers.
Caroline Olsson Skog
The designer of the series SKOG is Caroline Olsson. Caroline has a degree as a product designer, and enjoys working directly with the material, preferably in collaboration with industry professionals, to create her pieces. Caroline is committed to creating poetic products that will feel meaningful to own and to live with for years to come. She grew up in the deep forests of Magnor, Eidskog, which is also home to Magnor Glassverk.
Camilla Prytz
Unik, Swirl, Jubalong
Camilla Prytz is a renowned glass artist and jewellery designer, who has worked with glass, precious stones and enamel for over 25 years, holding many exhibitions at home and abroad. She is a trained glassblower at Kosta Boda, and has run her own workshop and jewellery brand since the 90s, creating pieces that have been used by celebrities / royalty all over the world. Her work is inspired by symbolism, moving seamlessly between art and design. Now Camilla Prytz is back where she started, namely with glassblowing. She is passionate about old craft traditions and locally produced design. Camilla Prytz has designed the UNIK sculptures for Magnor, and is now adding to her brilliant work with the art glasses SWIRL
Finn Schjøll
Boblen, Family, Florytale
Finn Schjøll is one of Norway’s most popular flower decorators, TV personalities and speakers, well known for his good humour and wisdom. A maestro of flowers and decoration, he constantly provides new inspiration on how to delight others with beautiful flowers and table settings. For Magnor Glassverk he has had much success with Boblen and Florytale, and now adds the brilliant BOBLEN PRIDE to his collection.
Simen Staalnacke Tokyo
Simen Staalnacke is one of Norway’s most popular and experienced designers, well known from the media and his television appearances. With extensive experience in fashion design, he has garnered much praise around the world. Inspired by the real and ancient Norwegian, interspersed with innovation and joy, he has made a name for himself - and is well-loved by the whole of Norway. For Magnor, he has had success with the collection TOKYO. Simen Staalnacke’s design always contributes to a beautiful and interesting home.
Marianne Stensrud Klem
Marianne Stensrud is a trained Exposure Designer from Westerdals, where she has also worked as a teacher. Today she works as a creative director and as a set designer on a number of well-known TV productions. She has extensive experience, and has for many years worked with interior, shape, colour and a variety of different materials to create unique environments. She draws her inspiration from nature, and appreciates the contrast between old craftsmanship and modern design. Warmth, light and warm colours combined with new and old are common in Marianne Stensrud’s design. For Magnor, she has released the designer lamp KLEM.
Storm Voyage, Galaxie
Storm Storm is a very popular stylist and interior designer with excellent references from Vogue, Elle, etc. He is also known to the public through his participation in the TV shows Top Model, Masterchef, and Stylistene (the Stylists). Moreover, he has designed bedlinen, underwear and boutique hotels in Mexico. Storm is a very experienced stylist and knows his interior. His creativity is fuelled by natural wine, food, and music from all over the world, but also by physical interiors and various aesthetic expressions. “Everything is connected”, he says.
XO VINSERVISE
Design Halvor Bakke
XO is a new and elegant wine set with beautiful light effects, designed by interior designer and TV personality Halvor Bakke. The series is sleek and gives an exclusive feeling. Light topaz-colored glass with swirlpatterned optics combined with sparkling clear stems create a fantastic light effect. The optical glass evokes thoughts of old aristocratic glassware and pairs perfectly with the porcelain tableware that Halvor Bakke has designed for Magnor, such as Linen, Noir, and Nostalgia.
XO is the term for something exclusive, rare, special, and extra fine. The new XO wine series has exactly these elements. Once again, Halvor Bakke has drawn inspiration from South Africa and the amazing Delaire Graff vineyard, perhaps the most beautiful and exclusive vineyard in all of South Africa, with stunning views of the vineyards and all the way down to Cape Town and Table Mountain in the distance. Halvor has had countless dinners and lunches here.

Design Halvor Bakke
DRINK is a series of stylish and glamourous bar glasses created by the Norwegian interior designer Halvor Bakke. The series comes in five sizes; shot/liqueur, gin & tonic, longdrink, cocktail/ espresso martini and lowball. The DRINK series consists of classic bar glasses that reflect the good old days when drinks meant celebrations and parties. The glasses feature a fine weight and balance for a good grip. Thanks to the charcoal and clear glass design, the glasses can easily be combined with other glasses, making your drinks look perfect on the table.
FRYD
Design Teresa Bergerud/Studio Magnor
Fryd is the feeling of pure joy and delight, and it is precisely this sensation that designer Teresa Bergerud has infused into her work in creating the soft, delightful shapes of this glassware series aptly named Fryd.
Fryd is designed for both everyday use and special occasions. Made of crystal, the series includes two wine glasses: a large red wine glass for full-bodied wines, a narrower white wine glass for lighter wines and bubbles, a stemmed glass for beer and cocktails, as well as a water glass. Good drinks are best enjoyed in company, which is why the glasses come in a box of four.
The renowned chef and sommelier Trond Moi has tested the glasses and says: 'These glasses are perfect all-round wine glasses. They have just the right shape to swirl the wine and release the aroma, and the clear glass lets you see the color. I often use the red wine glass for most white wines as well. The white wine glass is ideal for champagne, as it preserves the bubbles. The beer glass is suitable for both pilsners and fruity IPAs, and the water glass is a good size that complements the series.'

Design Teresa Bergerud
ALBA is a line of exclusive, classic and functional glasses that will be passed down for generations, and will always feel “right” - even for the most important of occasions. Designer Teresa Bergerud got her inspiration from old glassware and hand cut patterns. The series consists of both stemware and bar glasses in two beautiful hand cut designs: ANTIQUE (classic and traditional crystal patterns, a famous Magnor design) and FINE LINE (crisp, tight and modern striped patterns).

Design Simen Staalnacke
TOKYO WINE SERIES is one of Magnor’s major new flagship series, created by the famous designer Simen Staalnacke. It consists of eight items of various sizes, including a special edition 30 cl champagne glass hand painted in a shiny blue lustre. He derived the shape of each glass from the same tight silhouette inspired by Japanese aesthetics, creating an ultra-modern, stylish look that would be at home in his favourite city, Tokyo. Each piece is mouth blown and handmade by professional glassblowers, producing an expression of true craftsmanship.

JUBALONG is an exclusive series of art glass, designed by the renowned artist Camilla Prytz. These unique art glasses serve multiple purposes, functioning as wine, water, and dessert glasses. They come in six different delightful and tempting color mixes.
Each individual art glass in the JUBALONG series is handcrafted in fine crystal and mouth-blown by skilled glassblowers at Magnor Glassworks, in collaboration with the designer herself. Each glass is unique and bears the artist's signature.
NOIR
Design Halvor Bakke
NOIR, designed by interior designer Halvor Bakke, is as sleek and seductive as the Parisian evenings it was inspired by. During one of his many trips to Le Marais, Halvor took note of the dark elegance and gourmet cuisine which characterises this part of Paris, creating a unique wine series that highlights the wine and meals, allowing it to play the main role at the table.
The black NOIR glasses are luxurious and make the finishing touch. For a pure expression and great success!
SWIRL
Design Camilla Prytz
SWIRL is an exclusive and unique art glass series, designed by the famous artist Camilla Prytz. A versatile piece, SWIRL can be used both as a lantern and a drinking glass. Each one is mouth -blown by proud glassblowers in the glass hut at Magnor Glassverk, together with Camilla herself. Fjord tableware would like to carry on the Norwegian heritage. The visual expression plays with nostalgic, as well as modern elements. It is a fusion between eras and a flirtation with the world’s classical blue porcelain traditions. Knut & Kjartan have moved away from the cobalt blue color practice and instead designed a modern denim blue universe. The illustrations are painted in watercolor by the designers themselves. LERK is an exclusive and personalized porcelain tableware of high quality, designed by the famous interior designer Halvor Bakke. Halvor is inspired by his own childhood and his grandmothers larch which had small, playful cones hanging up on bare twigs. They were beautiful and vulnerable, yet rugged, true and honest. CAPE is an elegant and luxurious coffee press hot drink glass, decor tray and napkin ring, designed by Halvor Bakke. He found the inspiration for the design during one of his many trips to Cape Town, when he stumbled upon a stylish wrought iron gate in the old Dutch colonial style, Cape Dutch. The discreet and sophisticated pattern has been transferred to a beautiful items with a simple, classic, yet modern feel. The items comes in two colours with a durable finish; matt champagne and matt gunmetal. Every aspect of the design has been completed in minute detail, resulting in a sophisticated look. Teresa Bergerud/Studio Magnor
Studio Magnor's designer Teresa Bergerud has created the Olivia series, which consists of an elegant apricotpink vase and a cobalt-blue plate. Teresa works conceptually, and the lines of the Olivia series are inspired by playing with ellipses, ovals, and olive shapes. Her inspiration is drawn from classic Scandinavian product design and Magnor's rich design history. The result is products with soft lines and tight forms that fit perfectly in classic Nordic interiors, either alone or together.
Cobalt blue and apricot pink are prominent colors in the trend scene. They add energy to the interior while being classic and timeless, with lasting value. Both the plate and the vase are mouth-blown and handmade, making each piece unique.

ROCKS XO features three elegant lanterns with beautiful optical light effects in ice-clear and golden topaz, designed by Halvor Bakke. The series is stylish and provides an exclusive feel. Sparkling clear lanterns with fantastic light effects are always luxurious and fit into any interior. XO is a quality designation, and Halvor Bakke wanted to highlight the extra beautiful play of light created by the whirl-shaped optical structure in the glass. The inspiration for the shapes comes from his trips to Mølen, where he strolled along the shore, enjoying the sight of rugged stones, beautiful rock formations, and moraines from the ice age. He saw the shapes and color play in the genuine and honest landscape, allowing himself to play with nature's own forms. This is how he created the Rocks series – transforming nature's beautiful, wild, and bare forms into exquisite lanterns with optics that can also be used as vases.

Design Halvor Bakke
Furniture and interior designer Halvor Bakke has a fondness for the nostalgic. He has now created a new series that is inspired by old pharmacy and milk bottles. These new creations have a tight and modern expression, and have been named ”Old Farm Collection”. Halvor lives on the old small farm Trae and therefore it was natural to give the collection a name that reflects this. Halvor Bakke has managed to mix the old with the modern through the Old Farm Collection. With these great products, you get a unique mix of nostalgia and timeless elegance. The bottles are a reminder of the charm and history of the past, while offering practical functionality for a modern lifestyle.

Finn Schjøll knows his flowers. Therefore, his FAMILY vase is perfectly designed for flowers. The solid edge keeps the flowers in place so that they always look nice. AFTER RAIN is a collection of beautiful and elegant art glass vases, designed by the popular Norwegian, and award-winning, influencer Marna Haugen. She has taken her inspiration from her personal life; her ups and downs. While designing the vases, Marna reflected on life. Life meets resistance. We all face challenges, problems, and setbacks; some of them define us more than others. They are overcome, leaving us stronger and beautiful. Imperfect becomes perfect; and that’s beautiful. “Without challenges, we would not have been the fine people we are today”, Marna says. It is the same with the AFTER RAIN vases. The Norwegian word «igloo» comes from the Inuit word «iglu» which means house - a snow house made of beautiful translucent ice blocks.

Designer Teresa Bergerud wanted to develop traditional Christmas figures with a simple and minimalist expression, inspired by geometric shapes.
