CREATION OF ANTENA “TIRANT” SUPERCOMPUTER: THE WORLD’S UNIVERSITARIA’S MOST POWERFUL FIRST COMPANY Universitat de València students have just created the first company under Antena Universitària, a Chamber of Commerce and Universitat de València joint-initiative that promotes students’ business skills and entrepreneurial initiatives . The Company is called PERVENTURA and is geared towards active tourism as both a complement and an alternative to the traditional beach resort tourism. Antena Universitaria began one year ago on the Campus de Tarongers and seeks to promote the creation of businesses through self-employment for University degree graduates.

JUAN ANTONIO RAGA, CHANCELLOR’S DELEGATE FOR THE SCIENCE PARK For the last two years, Juan Antonio Raga has been the director of the Science Park of the Universitat de València (PCUV), a space dedicated to the coexistence and interaction between R+D+i and the business sector, a space that has been evolving over the last decade and that now has been granted visibility thanks to the construction of an imposing complex of buildings on the Burjassot-Paterna campus. Promoting this space for innovation and knowledge transfer is the mission that has been entrusted to this expert scientist in marine zoology, who works with the support of a team of qualified technicians. Completing PCUV infrastructure and the increasing awareness of the importance of this activity as regards economic and social development in Valencia are Raga’s priorities in the coming years. A university lecturer for more than two decades, Juan Antonio Raga has directed more than seventy national and international research projects in collaboration with businesses and institutions; he is also the author of a hundred books and scientific publications, a consultant for various national and international institutions in R+D+i and environmental matters, and holds an award in R+D from the Consejo Social (Social Council) of the Universitat de València.
