A Fun-Filled Month

While the May issue you hold in your hands celebrates family, I might argue that we celebrate family every day of every week, all year round. This month we also acknowledge May standout events including the Kentucky Derby, Mother’s Day and Cinco De Mayo. Let’s make it a month of family and fun!

On page 28, we celebrate the places in our homes that bring us joy and discuss what makes them special to us. See the spaces some Berks residents retreat to when they want to smile and relax.

And on page 38 we bring you one of our most popular annual features, our Summer Camp Guide. From arts and sports to equine therapy and service-based camps, there is something for every individual at a camp located right here in Berks.

Back to that Derby. In our The Look feature on page 20, you’ll discover fashion finds for men and women from local retailers that fit the bill. Think fabulous hats, fascinators and more. We’ve even got a mint julep recipe to cap things off.
