In the summer of 2007, the founders of
IDW sold a controlling interest in the
company to IDT’s Internet Mobile Group. Howard Jonas, the founder of IDT, has a passion for publishing and helped IDW
launch a children’s book line, Worthwhile Books, in April 2008. All four founders
still retain a minority ownership in the company and Ted and Robbie
continue to manage the company.
