The brain infection known as the Zombie vs Robots Prose Program continues with the world premier of Z-BOYZ IN THE ROBOT GRAVEYARD, an outrageous, gore-soaked two-part novella from cyberpunk pioneer, Bram Stoker Award-winner, and current IDW Crow comic scribe, John Shirley.

In the Arizona desert just a few years after brain-munching zombies turned a popular “tribal” festival into a hippie buffet, Z-BOYZ Pt. 1, “Food Chain,” features a young woman and her preservation-bot “brother” trapped in a remote scrapyard by ravenous shamblers. Their situation appears hopeless, until a wandering zombie-killer in need of motorcycle parts provides a means of escape. But who is more dangerous—the mindless zombies outside the electrified fence, or their new companion within it? Z-BOYZ Pt. 2, “Art of Dying,” expands on “Food Chain” in new and unexpected ways. Secondary characters now have starring roles as we experience their desperate lives in an eccentric desert art commune, where death is ever present.

Artist Daniel Branford provides evocative, full-color illustrations of distressing robot-on-zombie violence.
