New Products
B&R Industrial Automation: Asset Performance Monitor is a cloud application based on ABB Ability, ABB's unifed, cross-industry offering of digital solutions. By giving OEMs a reliable overview of all their machines in the feld, it allows them to identify potential improvements, take service operations to the next level and unlock new business models and revenue streams.
Around the clock, Asset Performance Monitor delivers data about production rate, energy consumption and temperature. Users can define which information is required, and the application automatically calculates key performance indicators (KPIs) such as overall equipment effectiveness and provides opportunities for improvement. Asset Performance Monitor prepares the data and displays it in a clearly organized dashboard. OEMs can then use this data to implement welltargeted machine upgrades and offer their customers next-level service.
An edge device is installed on site to collect data from a machine or production line. It receives data from the machine controller via OPC UA and passes it on to the cloud using the MQTT protocol. The edge device automatically establishes a connection to the ABB Ability cloud and installs the necessary software. Simply logging in with a username and password gives the OEM access to Asset Performance Monitor and all the features it has to offer.

Antaira Technologies: The LNP-0800-60-24 series is an industrial 4PPoE unmanaged Ethernet switch featuring 4*10/100Tx 4PPoE Type 3 ports and 4*10/100Tx PoE+. Ports 1-4 support an IEEE 802.3bt Type 3 high power 4PPoE output up to 60W per port, ports 5-8 support an IEEE 802.3at PoE+ output up to 30W per port.
The switches are designed for expanding the network on the outer edge. Four ports of IEEE 802.3bt 60W 4PPoE power give users the flexibility to add intelligent devices to the network, while still maintaining 4 ports of IEEE 802.3at PoE+ 30W power needed for traditional PoE edge devices.
Non-management features allow for quick deployment almost anywhere on the network. Technicians, integrators, and non-administrative personal can install the switches without the hassle of provisioning or programming the switches, thus avoiding communication errors related to networking issues.
The LNP-0800-60-24 series is IP30 rated and DIN-rail mountable. The series supports standard operating temperatures of -10°C to 70°C or an extended operating temperature of -40°C to 75°C depending on the model, for demanding outdoor and harsh industrial applications. Balluff: A new family of single channel, analog interface modules simplifes confguration and integration of analog devices by interfacing with IO-Link. Because analog devices are widely used in factory automation controls architectures, these modules can save valuable time and resources.
Balluff is introducing four secondgeneration, single channel analog-to-IO-Link interface modules used to convert a variety of analog input data such as current, voltage, and RTD/thermocouple measurement to digital equivalent values. And having IO-Link onboard enhances diagnostic information available. The new modules are: analog input conversion of input data like current, voltage and RTDs; analog input for temperature measurement sensors, Type J, Type K, or RTDs; analog output module with voltage or current output confguration; and universal analog module, configure as either an analog input or analog output.
These modules further simplify installations by eliminating analog in-chassis interface boards and reducing additional analog network blocks. IO-Link lets users replace lengthy shielded cable runs with basic unshielded cables.

Dual-Ethernet network security
Maple Systems: Dual-Ethernet HMIs conveniently divide competing connectivity demands between two separate networks, offering the benefts of connecting to the IIoT while increasing the reliability and security of a private control network dedicated to keeping machinery operating at peak performance.
The HMI becomes a gateway into a user's control network, and the PLC can transmit everything to the HMI without having to deal with slowdowns or network traffc. Meanwhile, the HMI can maintain a connection to the plant network for VNC monitoring, sending status reports, data log fles, and e-mail alarms. In the event of a catastrophic issue causing the main network to go down, the HMI maintains its PLC connection, which means the machine stays up and running.
Part of the Advanced Series, the HMI5043DL is designed for small spaces, and can function in portrait or landscape mode. The unit takes advantage of features in the free programming software, and proves to be cost effective for implementing enhanced capabilities.

Beckhoff Automation: TwinCAT 3 Scope consists of Scope View for the graphical display of signal curves and Scope Server for the actual data logging. The Scope Server can be installed on a target device for autonomous logging (without the View component if desired) or on the corresponding engineering system together with Scope View for remote logging.
The latter solution offers the advantage that no additional software has to be installed on the target device. As a result, no updates to TwinCAT controllers are required, and devices without TwinCAT do not have to be modifed in order to display their data graphically in Scope View.
For logging measured signals, the Scope Server now not only features a TwinCATspecifc ADS channel, but it also offers support for another standardised communication channel, which is realised as an OPC UA client. The widespread use of OPC UA in automation technology enables TwinCAT Scope to acquire and display measured data in a vendorindependent way. With OPC UA, this can be achieved reliably and securely, especially if certifcates are used.
The TwinCAT Target Browser, used for managing connected data sources, has also been expanded with OPC UA support. It enables browsing in the namespaces of connected OPC UA servers. This feature can be used to select the desired variables for logging by the Scope Server with confguration options for certifcate-protected access. A TwinCAT 3 Engineering installation includes both a Scope View and a local Scope Server.
