ment after the end of the 2014-15 academic school year. This past weekend on October 4, the group held their last reunion picnic at Veterans Park in South Colton, where many of the committee members grew up under the tutelage of scoutmaster Ray Abril Sr.
Chairman and local artist Ernie Colunga said the main reason behind the committee’s decision to close their project is due to fatigue and health issues. “I’m very sorry and sad that we are closing this up,” Colunga said. Scholarship cont. on next page
