As longlife residents and contributors to the community, both believe they have what it takes to be mayor. We took the time to sit with both candidates to hear their insights and ambitions for the city of Colton.
Gonzales believes experience is key factor to mayor’s position
Elected to the council for the first time in 1972 and re-elected again four years later, Frank A. Gonzales became the mayor of Colton in 1978 and would be re-elected six times. During his time as councilmember and mayor, Gonzales was responsible for helping build both the Hutton and Luque community centers, as well as the recreational center that holds his namesake. Volunteers build new park
Immaculate Conception Church offers free meals every Tuesday to residents in need

This year, the event will move to Fleming Park on Friday, October 31, 2014 from 5:00 – 10:00 p.m. Presented by the City of Colton, Community Services Department, the annual celebration will transform Fleming Park into a Halloween Village, complete with games, crafts, entertainment, costume contests for every age group, a movie on the big screen, and, of course, CANDY. The day culminates in a viewing of Hotel Transylvania, starting at 8pm. Join us for a FANGtastic time! Friday, October 31, 2014 Fleming Park located at 525 N. La Cadena Dr. Colton, CA 92324.
