Colton Woman’s Club Bazaar
he Colton Woman’s Club will be hosting their annual “Santa Claus Lane” Christmas Bazaar, this Saturday, December 6 from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. This wonderful event will take place at The Woman’s Clubhouse located at 495 North 7th Street in Colton. There will be homemade crafts, jewelry, crocheted, knitted, and hand sewn items, beauty products and more. There will be coffee and doughnuts available, as well as fresh baked goods and candy to buy. Lunch will be available from 11:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. for the low price of $5.00, which will include a ½ croissant sandwich, bag of chips, baked beans and a drink. The proceeds from the event will help fund community service projects, such as Santa Claus Incorporated, Pennies for Pines (to help plant trees in the mountains), and scholarships for local students.

City begins new chapter with new mayor and new councilmembers, outgoing officials say farewell

“No matter how many times people disagree, on the dais or in the audience, we have a responsibility as elected officials to accept and listen,” said Zamora. “We don’t always have to agree, but we have to agree to disagree. We strive for perfection, but we are not and never will be perfect people. I love that.”

n the face of adversity, outgoing Mayor Sarah Zamora stood tall and strong and led an entire community for more than
three years. Her late great husband David Zamora tragically passed away on July 14, 2011, after suffering from a heart attack. He had been in the Mayor’s office for one-year. Approached by councilmembers
and other city officials to carry on David’s term and legacy, Sarah accepted the role—despite the challenges she knew were ahead. At that time, the city was undergoing a Council cont. on next page
