Fall book sale, food drive Saturday
T
he Friends of the Rialto Library are hosting a Fall Book Sale and Food Drive Saturday. Set for 10 a.m. at the library, 251 west 1st Street, the event will feature pumpkin decorating and other fun activities for children of all ages. Specials for the day include a $4 bag of books, or if guests bring a nonperishable food item to the library, they’ll receive a 50 percent discount toward the purchase on a bag of books. Pumpkin decorating begins at 11 a.m. To learn more call the library at 909-875-0144.
Group plans #SoberSkater

event at Rialto Skate Park
he Rialto Community Coalition will host #SoberSkater, a Substance Abuse Prevention Event at the Skate Park on Willow Avenue next to the Johnson Center. Nov. 24. The event runs from 1 to 4. Admission is free. As part of #SoberSkater, participants will be asked to sign a pledge that states that they choose to be a Sober Skater. The event will feature a semipro skateboard team called NAI (New Age Intelligence), gourmet food trucks, live music, vendors, and resource providers. There will also be a best trick contest.
