School district distributes at-home COVID-19 test kit to ever y K-12 student By Maryjoy Duncan
T
he Rialto Unified School District picked up its allocation of a little over 24,000 at-home antigen (rapid) COVID-19 test kits on Saturday, Jan. 8 when they were delivered San Bernardino County to Superintendent of Schools (SBCSS) by the CA Dept. of Public Health (CDPH).

Trapp Elementary School leadership team in the Rialto Unified School District, stayed after school on the first day back for students (after winter break) to provide Covid-19 student test kits.
Students returned to school on Tuesday, Jan. 11 after a 3-week winter break; after school that day all school site administration, led by principals with support from various District leads distributed student kits from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm, with a Grab and Go drive through method. RUSD families who could not drive after school to pick up their child’s COVID-19 test kits were also given opportunities to pick up the kits the first week of Test kits, cont.on next pg.

n Saturday, January 15, Supervisor Joe Baca, Jr., with the support of the Bloomington community gathered at Kessler Park to unveil monuments in honor of four committed Bloomington High alumni. The event had a great turnout and many supporters from the community in attendance.
County students get STEAM experience
A huge concrete monument and a baseball field scoreboard at the park were named the “Gary Mendoza Memorial Field,” in honor of Mendoza who was an integral part of Bloomington Little League. Gary Mendoza’s legacy had a lasting impact on the Bloomington community and his support for the children will be passed on through generations.
