fundamental the workshop was and said they'd like to have these weekly group meetings," said Founder and Executive Director Ryan Berryman.

At the forthcoming Men's Health Fair, Berryman said he and Father Specialist Jerry Henderson would address the role of a father and how imperative the relationship is to the successful development of a child.

"Research shows that when a father is present in a child's life, the child will be stronger emotionally, physically, and thrive in their academics. It's so important to recognize that when we have strong families, we have strong communities - which is a massive benefit to the development of children," continued Berryman.

He also shared two recommendations for fathers looking to strengthen their relationship with their children.

"One of the simplest and most important things a father can do is to be present in their child's life; I know many families have unique circumstances, but

ensuring your child knows you're there for them 24/7 is imperative. It's also essential to have a positive relationship with the child's mother. Even if the relationship is not great with the mother, at the bare minimum, you want to have the ability to communicate respectfully, for the child's benefit," Berryman said.

As the organization prepares for its massive Leadership Summit on August 24th and 25th in Rialto, the organization would like to remind the community that it's continuously in need of volunteers and donations to successfully execute initiatives to build stronger relationships between fathers and children.

"Far too long, many fathers have been underserved in our social service systems, especially our Black and Brown men. As a result, this has negatively affected positive outcomes for children, the economic stability of families, and the safety of communities. Now is the time for society to begin serving fathers in our communities with intentional efforts and equitable resources and services," concluded Berryman. Congrats Eisenhower High School Class of 2022! Rialto Unified School District Board of Education Member Dina Walker, left, congratulates an Eisenhower High School graduate during the Eagles’ graduation ceremony on June 4 at Toyota Arena in the City of Ontario.

His favorites included: spending time with his family, reading the newspaper, and playing sudoku. He had a great passion for barbecuing, fried chicken, and playing the lottery! He also enjoyed reading, learning new things, and sharing knowledge. He had an infectious smile that he loved to share and in turn he would make others smile as well. He was passionate about veterans and loved when he was able to help families receive their military service con-

nected benefits. Leroy was a very loyal and giving servant. With Leroy, what you see is what you get. He was the same today as he was yesterday as he will be tomorrow and in our hearts forever more.

Leroy was preceded in death by his mother Ms. Lila Beatrice Ensley, his step mother, Ms. Louise Dotson, two sisters and one brother.

As Leroy would always say: Make a decision, KISS (Keep It Simple Stupid), take care of the business, and go beat em’ up!

Memorial Services will be held at 11AM on Wednesday, June 15th at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church, 1575 W. 17th St., San Bernardino. Immediately following services, interned at the Riverside National Cemetery at 1:30 PM. If you would like to send flowers please send them to the church on the day of services by 10:00 AM.

“Hustle” is one of the greatest

By Caden Henderson

This past week the basketball based movie “Hustle” co-produced by LeBron James and his company “Springhill” hit Netflix.

The show is about Bo Cruz (played by NBA player Juancho Hernanomez) and his path from poverty in Spain to the NBA. The man who discovers Cruz is Stanley Sugarman (Adam Sandler) a former college hooper turned scout/assistant coach for the 76ers.

When the 76ers owner and Sugarman begin to have disagreements over Cruz as well as Sugarman’s job title, Sugarman quits his job, beginning an epic journey to get Cruz drafted into the NBA.

The movie gives you a lot of your usual sports movie montage moments during Cruz’s grind to improve. He wakes up every morning at 4 AM (a tribute mentioned by Sandler’s character to the time Kobe Bryant said he’d wake up to work out) and gets to work on his shooting, dribbling, conditioning etc.

During some of these scenes, we see some cameos from street ball legend “The Professor” and pro shooting coach Chris “Lethal Shooter” Williams. All of the grinding leads up to the draft combine, where we see Cruz go up against top prospect Kermit Wiltz (played by NBA star Anthony Edwards).

Kermit gets into Cruz’s head and Cruz eventually shoves him to the ground before exiting the combine scrimmage game in fury after Kermit made jokes about Cruz’s daughter and her lack of a mother figure. Sugarman eventually catches up to Cruz late that night and almost gets into a physical altercation with Cruz before calming him down before the police came and arrested Cruz. After they talk things out, they are left with a major problem. Cruz is now labeled as a hot head from a poverty

In fact, there were so many, I couldn’t even fit all of them into this article and the scenes they were in. I easily give hustle a 4.5/5, and think it is one of the greatest sports movies of its time. Be sure to see it, out now, on Netflix!

If you are the highest bidder at the auction, you are or may be responsible for paying off all liens senior to the lien being auctioned off, before you can receive clear title to the property.
