INTERIOR DESIGN STUDENT
ANNALISA MAIR
Hello, my name is Annalisa Mair, an Interior Design student from IED Barcelona. Growing up in the italian Alps and spending most of my time outside made me grow into an observer and explorer that carries out its curiosity Later on I started a career in hospitality, where I could develop a professional level of soft skills in relation to customer service and team work. Still, I was looking for a language to express my visions and ideas in form of space and including values, where than I took the opportunity and went for the design path. Currently I find myself constantely experiencing and developing my personality, which gives me security and takes me out of my comfort zone.
ANNALISA
I am an optimist who loves to discover and to try With Interior Design I found the possibility to create holistic perspectives for a better future, where step by step I want to head to. Transmitting identity and values to create joyful and respectful atmospheres. Introducing myself as someone who is open for the unknown.

UNDER THE SURFACE
As the neighbourhood Barri Gòtic is seen as the core of Barcelona I want my client to live in his own core home and being aware of the historical background of the building, the space and its materials. My concept is based on renovating the space while undoing apllyed layers to reveile what is underneath. Working with the essence of the space and transmitting its values and its soul.
Focusing on the relationship between human body and materials. Walking barefoot - raw feet on raw materials - to keep the connection to the ground and to the energy that flows. Creating a community living atmosphere, where everyone is welcome to stay and become part of these energetic gatherings. The core a spiritual need to shape this habitat.

CHRISTMAS
KITSCH
EDITION
CHRISTMAS KITSCH EDITION
This concept is based on bringing the celebration part of Christmas to the window display of Fran‘s interior furniture store.
The main character of this storytelling display is gonna be the kitchen and it‘s island, seen as the center of gathering. Working with aspects like light, movement and food to create an inviting and interactive atmosphere.
For the magical aspect of this project the light and its reflection plays a big role, while designing it with silver tinsel fringe curtains that create a glowing and dynamic effect in the whole space.
Single or multiple color spotlights shine from every corner of the kitchen to highlight the festive kitchen island full of food sculptures and dishes, to create a dialog between the person outside of the window and the situation inside.
SEEING CHRISTMAS AS A FUN CELEBRATION FOR EVERYONE.
Covering parts of the windows with the curtains and hanging them around the space, so users can go through and experience the installation While the interior side of the curtains work with reflections of artificial light - the exterior part reflects its surrounding and passerbys.

DISCOVERY
CON CEPT
My concept is offering an in-between exhibition space that presents an insight to the museum Frederic Marès. The space can be experienced throughout a mirror labyrinth path that is distributed in the whole patio and its porches. Having different centers inside the labyrinth, where visitors can discover the collector pieces from Marès, while finding the right way that leads to the museum entrance.
Mirrors form no judgement and are reflecting the situation as it is. This main material used in the whole intervention, creates an illusional experience that guides visitors through an interactive path, with different directions, easy to get lost and personal discoveries. The experience is based on confronting yourself, losing the sense of time, discovery and the bridge between the outside to the colletion of Marès.
In the heart of the neighborhood el Gòtico, very next to the Cathedral, the Museum Marès with its patio is placed. The patio itself has a lot of potential to become part of the museum itself and make visitors curious what lays behind those historical walls. It offers a quiet in-between space that invites you to disconnect from the busy streets of the historical part of Barcelona. Due to its position it offers a few hours of sun in the morning and a shady place in the afteroons.

CON CEPT
The concept of the design is based on the in-between transitional experience from weakfulness to sleeping, also known as Hypnagogia, where we have a lot of creative potential and highly realistic visions.
Everyone who enters should experience it in the whole space, from the to a dream-like atmosphere. A space for an artistic community to meet, share, experiment and interact. Providing creativity flows and no limits.
LOCATION
inclusive working spirit.
HYPNAGOGIATHE CREATIVE SWEET SPOT.
PER FORM ANCE ART
Performance art is created spontaneous or scripted while artists are using their body and other tools as a medium of communication creating live artworks within or in front of an audience. The artwork creates a dialog, questions and answers in the presence while being mainly expressed by the artists body. Time and space are the context around the performances and thats what I was focusing on while designing the workspace. Offering artists a workspace that provides a limitless context and flexibility to push boundraise.
The graphic application is representing the visual appearence of the experience - Hypnagogia. Artists in every creative field used and are using this state of consciousness as an inspirational tool for their artworks. Inspired by it I created this abstract representation out of the name itself in a fluid colourful design. The composition should transmit the emotional intensity, the bizarness, the visual vivacity and narrative complexity someone can go through this in-between state.

Entering the workspace from an exterior staircase to an exterior patio used as a refreshing green terrace.
On one side artists have the exclusive access to enjoy a private meeting space with their colleagues.
The main entrance marked by its heavy steel bank tresor door opens the portal to where the hypnagogia journey starts.
Orange meets blue in a dream-like light installation that guides you through a 15m long corridor. The corridor painted in blue is covered with blue cords hanging down the ceiling. Visitors have to go through this cord-light jungle to reach the theatre area on the other side. This illusional atmosphere plays with reality and imagination.
The six studios are offering a calm and clean design to let the artists breath through their work. Equipped like a dance studio with visual tools and a lot of natural light. Every artist can book them individually for a period of time as their own workspace. Exploring limits and working on their performances.
STU DIO
It can be interactive, or uncomfortable, it can be pleasant or annoying. The bar offers a meeting place for everyone before or after a performance in a very rustical wooden style. Two round shaped portals mark the entrance/exit to the main theater that offers a cloud-like seating area on bean bags, while being integrated in the stage.
