Q Where are you going to keep your Emmy®?
The Emmy® currently sits in my Editor’s office in London. We see it as a collective award, a testament to ITV News’ commitment to eyewitness reporting that has been in the DNA of our journalism for over 60 years.

Q Tell us about the importance of winning an Emmy®?
For me, winning the Emmy® was a wonderful validation of ITV News’ mission. We want to see stories through the eyes of participants. So, while embedded with the mob that was storming the Capitol on January 6, I wanted to know - in real-time - what was motivating the rioters. I didn’t choose a side, expressing neither empathy nor antipathy. Even in the maelstrom of the event, I stopped to ask questions and to listen. Their responses were visceral and deeply revealing.
Q What upcoming projects are you or would you like to be working on next?
My goal is to pursue projects that take our viewers beyond the platitudes of Washington and to understand the forces driving this hyper-partisan political landscape in America. What’s the magnet that is pulling people towards extreme and uncompromising views? I will aim to get beyond the noise, and shed some light.
