Summary This story starts in one of the many walks that made the lawyer Mr. Utterson and Enfield. Walked through an alley in London, when a floor caught their attention. It isn’t windows and balconies. As he looked at the door downstairs. Mr. Enfield began to explain a strange event happened before there. He explained that a man and a girl he crossed in front and the man began to trample the girl, after leaving her lying on the floor. So Mr. Enfield ran to catch the man and took him and the girl. There had come a doctor and the family, forcing the man to pay £ 100 damages. Then the man came into the floor, took the money and handed it to the family. When his friend finished telling the story, Mr. Utterson went to his house and when he got there took the will of Mr. Jekyll and read it. It put that left everything to Mr. Hyde. As Utterson not know who this Mr. Hyde, went home to ask Lanyon. He probably would know since he saw Jekyll and often. But neither knew anything about this Mr. Hyde. That night I could not sleep. All the while I saw a faceless man hit a girl. Since that night, Mr. Utterson often passed down the street from that apartment. I wanted to see the man it belonged to that floor. Finally one day, he saw a small man entered the house. Utterson ran to the man and asked if he was Mr. Hyde, and it was. So Mr. Utterson walked to Jekyll's house. He opened his servant but wasn’t Jekyll. So Utterson went. After a few days, made a dinner Jekyll and Mr. Utterson friends were invited. He stayed until everyone left. Then told everything Jekyll and Mr. Hyde commented that he leaves it all to him, it was crazy. But Mr. Jekyll didn’t care what he said the lawyer. He had clear ideas and didn’t want to talk about it. And they did but only for a year, because after this time, a horrible thing happened on Mr. Hyde. This, he had found an old street and hit him to death. The old man had a letter to Mr. Utterson and the police took her to his house. Utterson wanted to go to see the body to see if he recognized. It was the scene of the crime and recognized him. Andrew Danvers was a client of his. The only witness said the attacker was a short, mean looking man. Utterson immediately thought of Mr. Hyde. He was the suspect, so Utterson accompanied the police to his house. When they arrived there, they found only the keeper to let them in without problems. They searched the house and found only the stick with which Hyde had killed the man and some other things.

This day, Utterson was Jekyll's house and told him what happened. Jekyll told him to be quiet because Hyde not reappears. He said he had received a letter from him to put it to be quiet he had to escape methods. He also said he had been hand-delivered without seal. Utterson stuck it out and asked the servant how was the person who had given him the letter and he said that nothing had come out of the mail. Mr. Utterson was very intrigued with this. Mr. Utterson summoned Mr. Guest, who knew of letters and spelling. He showed the letter to Mr. Hyde and then grabbed a Guest Mr. Jekyll and compared. The letters were very similar. Only differed in the slope of the letter. Then Mr. Utterson was even more intrigued with all this mystery. All were questions with no answer. Days passed and they Utterson was to have dinner at Lanyon. He was pale and thinner than usual. They talked for a while and after supper Lanyon gave him an envelope with a letter. It read: "shall not be opened until the death or disappearance of Dr. Henry Jekyll." Utterson not understand anything. One of the following Sunday, Utterson gave one of his walks with Mr. Enfield, past the house of Mr. Jekyll. He was looking out a window. Utterson and Enfield greeted him and invited him to be a walk with them, but told them not to, they could speak from the window. But the moment in which it is said, his face changed vastly. Immediately shut the window Jekyll and Utterson and Enfield were silent and frightened by what they had just seen. In one of the following nights, the servant went to visit Mr. Utterson. He said that at home I passed very strange things. His master did not come out for some time in his office and that his voice was not always. Now I had a rough voice. Utterson and the servant talked for a while until you reach one conclusion: someone had killed Dr. Jekyll. And as the servant, that someone could be nothing more and nothing less than Mr. Hyde. Utterson decided to accompany the servant to Jekyll's house to see the situation. Once there, they pulled the office door of Dr. Jekyll, and there it was, Edward Hyde, in the middle of the room. He had possibly committed suicide after murdering Dr. Jekyll. Utterson and Poole searched the house on all sides hoping to find the body of Jekyll, but not found. All I found was a letter addressed to Mr. Utterson Jekyll. In putting this before reading that I had to read the letter you should have delivered Lanyon some time. Utterson told the servant to go to his house and, after having read the letters lighter, again to call the police. Utterson went home, quickly caught Lanyon's letter and read it. In this there was a very rare thing. Jekyll in Lanyon asked, with a blacksmith, were home. Forced entry to his office and in the glass cabinet had to get a drawer. It had to take

home, and wait for a man to come at midnight, on his part, and had to give the drawer. After reading this letter, Lanyon, did what he said. He picked up the box, took it home and then a horrible thing happened. The man who had come from Jekyll, he grabbed the drawer, and pulled out of the small boat with a substance. Drank and became Dr. Jekyll. Miraculously I was changing the face and body became taller and thinner and there was a moment where I had been a short, evil-faced man, Dr. Jekyll appeared in the flesh. Utterson couldn’t believe it and did not understand. Then he began to read the letter from Jekyll. He explained that from a young age I had thought that the good and evil of people could separate and after making many experiments, succeeded in making the formula to separate the evil from the good part of a person. So he decided to try it. He took it and changed completely. Now he was short and very evil. He went out and a girl stuck at which it was found. He decided not to be Mr. Hyde. But the next morning he woke up being Mr. Hyde, was lying still when Dr. Jekyll. This worried him about it and had to take some kind of drug. Each time, the evil personality of Jekyll grew stronger, until he came to kill a person. But it was wrong. The drug to be Dr. Jekyll, and not working as well as ever. Now I had to take it every six hours or become Mr. Hyde. Gradually the drug ended and Mr. Hyde could not become Dr. Jekyll. Then he decided to commit suicide, he found the only solution possible. Thus ends the life of Mr. Henry Jekyll and Hyde.

Personal Opinion We could say that this book didn’t like me much. For starters, it is difficult to understand and the vocabulary that characters too. I also found it boring and in occasions not very entertaining. Besides all this, I find that the book is very well written and has some intriguing parts. I have learned a lot of vocabulary and know things before or didn’t understand or simply never used. I like this because sometimes I get expressions that sound great. Another thing is the topic of the speaker: good and evil, I find it original and different and it's also a bit like people really are. We all have a bad side and a good but not as exaggerated as in the book.
