He sold this to the family Otis and he had been completely honest with Mr Otis about his reason for selling it. Hiram B. Otis was a rich American, he had got a wife and four children. He was a practical man. Mr Otis respected individual effort and he respected the power of money and those who earned it. Mrs Otis was a good-looking, energetic woman in her midle age. She had four children. Washintong Otis was eldest son, was an attractive young man with fair hair and a talent for dancing. He worked for Pinkerton's Chemical Company Miss Virginia Otis came next. She was lovely girl of fifteen with large blue eyes. Virginia was as energetic as her mother. She loved horse riding and she had won a horse race against some very good riders. The twins came after Virginia, twin boys, who were usually called the “Stars and Striped” because they were often beaten for their bad behaviour. Mrs Umney was wearing a black dress with a white cap on her head, she had been housekeeper and Mrs Otis had agreed to let her stay in the job. Mrs Umney was an old woman.

Lady Eleanore de Canterville was murdered in the library, where there was a bloodstain on the floor, by her husband, Sir Simon de Canterville. The bloodstain, said Mrs Umney, was of her. Sir Simon de Canterville was the ghost and the main character, he murdered to his wife because she didn't know cook. After it he lived for nine years. Then he musteriously disappeared. Duke of Cheshire who had at once fallen in love with Virginia. They married • Summary This story is about a ghost and a new family that will life in the old house called Canterville Chase, Mr Otis, Mrs Otis and four children Washintong, Virginia and the twins, but this house had a ghost that every night made noise with his chains, he frightened and put a bloodstain on the library. However the Otis family didn't frighten so the ghost planned frighten them less to Virginia because she didn't made hurt, but specilly the twins always made something for the ghost was stopping scaring them. The ghost was depressed because didn't get frighten them. He left to appear some days and when he walked for the house didn't make noise. One day Virginia saw that the Canterville ghost in a little room and he was with him head in him hand. She felt sorry for him and decidered talk with he. The ghost told her that he killed him wife and that after her brother locked him up and gave him no food. He starved to death. Finally the Canterville ghost died and Virginia discovered a little room with one small window and with a skeleton lay on the floor. She had a box of jewels that was her. Virginia married with Duke of Cheshire. • Personal Opinion I think that this story of The Canterville Ghost is interesting because there is mystery it has got funny things althought this is parts that are sad but with these differents points of view you can learn and understand the attitude of the characters and their paper in the story. In addition it isn't boring, it isn't difficult to read and it's very entertaining. In conclusion, it book is perfect to read and to learn new vocabulary. I like it, this book and The picture of Dorian Grey are the best than I have read.
