He has a big family who are doing jokes to ghost. He, for example, gave an oil bottle to ghost because his chains made a terrible noise. Moreover he tried hunter Simon de Canterville (the ghost)but he always escaped. Finally he tried find to his daughter despite of be sad .When she appeared he was very glad. 2. Mrs.Otis, wife Mr. Otis .She was a good-looking, energetic womanin her middle age. She is a character with a discreet paper in the story, only in the finalof the book when Virginia disappeared she acts a few 3. Washington Otis, eldest son,was an attractive young man with fair hair and a talent for dancing. He worked for Pinkerton’s Chemical Company who invented new and wonderful medicines, and things to help with cleaning the house. He just like his family, does very jokes to the ghost .He always cleaned bloodstain on the floor although every days came back. 4. The twins who were usually called the ‘Stars and Stripes’ because they were often beaten for their bad behavior. They were the sons more little of the family Otis. They produced very problems to Simon de Canterville. For example, they did believe to Simon that had other ghost, they throwed a large container of water or they frightened to spectre.

5. Miss Virginia Otis was a lovely girl of fifteen with large blue eyes. She was as energetic as her mother. Virginia loved horse riding. In fact, she suffered a fell of her horse which sheknows to Simon de Canterville and his deep story. She married with Duke of Cheshire and they together visited the tomb of the ghost. Finally she received a pretty jewel thanks to the ghost which she could keep for the future. 6. Mrs. Umney who had been Lady Canterville’s housekeeper. She was an old woman and she had afraid of the phenomenon in the house. This is obvious in the chapter which Washington Otis cleans the bloodstain on the floor. 7. Lord Canterville who sold the chase to Mr. Otis .He had been born to the money and social position of the English upper class. 8. Simon de Canterville or the ghost. He is the central character of this book. He try throw of home to the family Otis but all his ideas were failed because the twins or Mr. Otis obtain ruin (as we have seen on examples of character previous.).He murdered to his wife and when he know to Virginia who help to escape of his personal prison. Finally he presented a jewels in thanks • This book tell the story of the family Otis who buy a old house called Canterville Chase .Here live a ghost that seek throw to the family nevertheless they obtain ruin all the intention because they are well prepared. However more deeply exist a theme more interesting which is developed between Virginia Otis and Simon de Canterville. It consist on the freedom spirit Simon’s thanks to she(because he did very much bad acts .So, heis able of see feelings in Virginia for produced this fact).Consequently, the ghost gave as reward a brilliant jewels .More later Miss Virginia when helped the ghost, she came back and she married with the Duke of Cheshire. By last, this story finishes with a happy end.

• In my opinion this is a book very funny. The characters are interesting, in special the Otis family’s while that others it are all the opposite as the servants. Moreover the argument isn’t only funny because to end is the true story. For everybody this it is a well book and it always will be
