• Summary The book is the narration by David Copperfield of his own life, from his birth until his middle age, and those who surrounded him, for good or for evil. It begins on the day he was born, helped come to the world by Dr. Chillip, when his father had already died. Clara becomes remarried when Copperfield has around seven years, with Mr Murdstone, a severe type whose occupation in life seems to be marrying girls with money, and then impose their severe regime, which had sad consequences for Copperfield and his mother. While the wedding and honeymoon of his mother, David is sent to Yarmouth, to live a season with the family of Pegotty, a humble fishermen who live on a boat. There David met his first love child: Emily. This school is headed by Mr. Creakle, a type despot whose education system were the tundas to his students. Also in this school meets James Steerfort, friend that is subsequently reunited in history.
