IESEF

IESEF (pronounced Eye-Es-Ef) was born in Memphis, TN in 1982 and has spent the majority of his existence observing and recording the details of life in the Southern, US. With an emphasis on color, contrast, and composition, he methodically captures scenes of blight, culture, natural beauty, and the mundane as he roams the region. A firm believer in the adage that the best camera is the one you have with you, but a special preference is shown for the tone that 35mm film and 2nd hand cameras lend to his images. Everything shot on film is self-developed in his modest darkroom located in Memphis where he currently resides.
