The Queensland Independent Education Union extends an invitation to preschool, primary and secondary entrants and teachers of independent schools to submit artworks in the annual QIEU Awards for Excellence in Art Design.

Your Design Task
Categories
• Your task is to produce a piece of artwork that best reflects the theme.
• Pre-school
• Prep - Year 2
• Years 3 - 4
• Years 5 - 6
• Your artwork may take the form of a poster and include a statement or caption to reinforce your visual image.
• Years 7 - 8
• Years 9 - 10
• Years 11 - 12
• Open
• You may use a variety of media (paint, crayon, pencil, ink, etc). Your work MUST be easily transportable to the QIEU office and packaged ready to be returned to you by post. It must also be suitable for exhibition purposes.

1. Artwork must totally be the work of the entrant and should be in keeping with the competition theme.

2. There is no limit on the number of artworks an entrant may submit.

3. Copyright remains with the artist; however, the artist will permit QIEU to publish or use any of the submitted artworks for non-profitable, promotional purposes. Submission of any artwork is taken as acceptance of these conditions.
A completed entry form or photocopy must be attached to the back of each artwork.

6. Collection of artwork: Unless entry forms indicate that artwork is to be returned to the school, artwork must be collected from the QIEU office within 30 days following the Awards night otherwise artwork will be discarded due to a lack of storage space.
