Teacher Education Bursary Winners Griffith University student Ellen Collins from University of Southern Queensland, was recently awarded the John Nash Vicki Farley and Glenn Cameron from Bursary Award. Griffith University, and Olivia Holmes from Australian Catholic University. This award is presented to an outstanding student studying an education degree at university. Ellen, studying for a Bachelor of Education - Special Education said she wanted to become a teacher as she has a passion for working with children. “I find it rewarding to see students progress and achieve with the help of teachers. I am fortunate to have had a positive schooling experience, which has encouraged me to explore my teaching interests further,” she said. The $2,000 bursary will benefit Ellen in purchasing resources necessary to her continued study. Coming to a Campus Near You The IEUA-QNT Growth Team, including Organisers Nick Holliday and Caryl Davies are looking forward to speaking with undergraduate education students at a number of universities this year. The Growth Team will be visiting universities in the near future (see dates left) to discuss how IEUA-QNT can assist with your professional and legal needs during your tertiary study in education. Being an associate member of our union is also a great way to network with future colleagues and join a collective of professionals in the education industry.
