QUEENSLAND PARENTAL LEAVE PROVISIONS – MARCH 2001 Instrument Family Leave Award 3 April 2000 Addition: 1.6 Employer’s Obligation 1.6.1 On becoming aware that an employee or an employee’s spouse is pregnant, or that an employee is adopting a child an employer must inform the employee of: (a) the employee’s entitlements to parental leave under this Award (b) the employee’s obligation to notify the employer of any matter in this Award 1.6.2 An employer cannot rely on an employee’s failure to give notice or other document by this Award unless the employer establishes that subclause 1.6.1 has been complied with.

Maternity Leave

Parental Leave
