Brief_ The project is part of the urban and landscape study of CDT East Seine-Saint-Denis for the revitalization of the industrial area of Aulnay Nord, which runs since 2012. Societe du Grand Paris has commissioned LIN architects & urbanists to prepare a study for a metro and tram maintenance center in the industrial site of PSA-Peugeot CitroĂŤn. Main aim of the first phase is to develop possible scenarios concerning localization and the integration of the complex in the site and into the master plan, to study the possible impact and to define a spatial concept and principles regarding the organization of the complex.

Redefining abandonment through inhabitation Status_ Graduation project TU Delft Type_ Regeneration strategy, urban design toolkit Location_ Agios Panteleimonas, Athens, Greece Supervisors_ D. Sepulveda, G. Bruyns, H. Sohn Duration_ 9 months

Brief_ The project is a R&D project about Athens center in crisis and more precisely about the dual process of abandonment- arrival of new actors occurring in the body of polykatoikia building, expanding in the central neighborhoods of Athens and threatening the social sustainability of center. The aim is to provide a response to “urban decay” through a strategy which focuses on the conditions of inhabitation in the centre and the socio-spatial integration of the vulnerable groups in the system of the city. By rethinking the potentials of polykatoikia model, by empowering the local level by integrating actors and practices in the daily system of the city and by converting them from actors to agents, the “revitalization” of the center is aimed. The outputs are: a context-based strategy for the neighborhood of Ag.Panteleimonas - Athens and three planning instruments which cover all the levels and patterns of abandonment and define from new programs and urban rules to power formations, and decision-making/ implementation processes.

Evolving the Food city: Barging the markets Status_ Master project, The Why Factory,TU Delft Type_ Master planning, Sustainable urbanism systems Location_ Haarlemmermeer, Netherlands Supervisors_ U. Hackauf, H. Rosenboom Duration_ 3 months

Brief_ The project “Barging the markets” constitutes part of the project “Evovling the Food city” which is about the creation of a self-sufficient in terms of food production community of 500.000 inhabitants in Haarlemmermeerpolder in an area of 50 sq.km. The masterplan proposes a model for a gradual integration of food production in the city structure and the creation of “hybrid” typologies of urban space where urban and rural activities merge and co-exist. The project “Barging the markets” focus on the issue of transport, processing, storage and distribution of food within the boundaries of the city. The concept is to use the existing water structure used for agricultural irrigation, as the network for food distrubution. Canals and barges organize an efficient and sustainable system for the collection of the production, the processing or storing in the barges and their distribution to floating markets created in every district.

Brief_ The architectural project regards the Saltwork of Kitros – Pieria, a unique enviromentally protected habitat, a NATURA 2000 site in the southern part of Thermaikos Gulf (Greece). The project examines the spatial and contexual relationships developed between natural environment and human activities and proposes ways to experience, read and learn form the landscape. The aim of the project is to enhance the protection of the existing ecosystem through the environmental awareness of the visitors. After the evaluation of the existing activities and biodiversities, the project investigates possible ways to reconfigure and introduce human activities which can co-exist with the existing ecosystem.

Public Building Theatre & Drama school Status_ Studio - Architecture School AUTH Type_ Architectural design Location_ Thessaloniki city center, Greece Supervisor_ A. Alexopoulou, P. Martinidis Collaboration_ S. Karagkouni Duration_ 6 months

Brief_ The project is about the design of a high degree of complexity building : a Drama School combined with a small scale varying in layout experimental theatre in a rather restricted site in Thessaloniki centre, following the building regulations and intergrating in the urban tissue. The building hosts a transformable theatre auditorium on the sunken ground floor and classrooms, dance, music and crafts studios, a library, offices and design workshops for the students. Main aims for the design were to manage the programmatic complexity and “conflict between the different uses of space, create a diffentiation of public and open spaces, to provide solutions about the light and ventilation in a dense urban fabric while developping a dialog with the surrounding buildings. The given volume is divided in two different units which are connected with brigdes, leaving free space for ventilation and lighting. Moreover, a perforated patterned facade, forms a porous element which defines levels of privacy and of lighting and attemts to create a continuity with the surrounding buildings. 41
