INTRODUCTION What is IFMSA-Québec? IFMSA-Québec is the international division of the FMEQ (Fédération Médicale Étudiante du Québec) and the Quebec division of the International Federation of Medical Students Associations (IFMSA). IFMSA-Québec has been representing all Quebec medical students since 2002. Our organization passionately advocates on behalf of our members for social, cultural, and world health equality at both the national and international level. Present across the six campuses of the Quebec faculties of medicine, IFMSA-Quebec offers multiple training activities, organizes more than 140 research and immersion exchanges per year, and coordinates six peer educational projects in schools across Quebec.

What is the Global Health Colloquium (GHC)? Global health is a subject of increasing popularity, many conferences and seminars are held each year on this fairly new area of health. However, most of these events are targeted for health professionals rather than students. Five years ago, IFMSA- Québec decided to have its first Global Health Colloquium, an event created by students for students. This colloquium has become a major annual event for IFMSA-Québec, bringing together university students interested in global health, and interested people outside the university milieu. The GHC is a one-day annual event consisting of conferences held by expert speakers, small group workshops, and a community fair. The latter is a unique component of our event where students are able to meet various representatives from different organizations working on specific issues related to the theme of our event. Different opportunities to become involved will also presented.

Description of Roles The organizing committee (OC), under the supervision of the GHC coordinator, will be responsible for all logistical aspects of the GHC 2017.
