The Instituto Gulbenkian de Ciência, IGC, is a leading life science research and graduate training institute. The IGC was founded by the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, and is located just outside Lisbon, on the coast. The IGC aims to: - be a host institution for international research groups; - maintain and develop graduate teaching programmes IGC scientists are committed to promoting dialogue with the public about life science research and engaging the public in science funding.
