INSIDE THIS ISSUE In this month's edition of The Scorecard,we are pleased to be able to recognize several championsfor 2020 in British Columbia Golf competitionsin a year when it looked very much like that was not going to be a possibility. BC Golf 's Brad Ziemer was on hand to provide physical distance coverage of the BC Men's Amateur (page 12), Mid-Am and Mid-Master, along with the Boys & Girls Junior, Juvenile and Bantam & Novice Championships. You'll find his reports on those events throughout this issue. As you read this, the BC Women's Amateur, Mid-Am and Senior Championshipsare getting under way at Campbell River Golf & Country Club. Following that, the Men's Seniors will be PG 8 | AUG 2020

contested at Sunshine Coast G&CC in mid-September.The fact that these championships have been able to take place during the Covid-19 pandemic is a testament to the organizers, volunteers, competitorsand particularly the host golf clubs who have worked so hard to put in place and adhere to strict protocols allowing these events to happen. Please also read the information on the Golf Canada Covid-19 Golf Relief Fund (page 18), intended to support golf clubs in helping their employees and golfers stay safe while also thanking front-line workers through encouragement of additional play and welcoming juniors to further experience the game. Enjoy your golf and please stay safe.
