INSIDE THIS ISSUE In this month's issue of The Scorecard our cover story on page 12 is just one of many stories that surfaced after the major flooding a number of golf facilities suffered following the torrential rainfall that hit BC earlier this month. BC Golf 's Brad Ziemer looks at some of the issues facing one of the hardest hit facilities in the Fraser Valley (page 38) as part of his BC Golf Notes and he also reports (page 16) on what may be facing a couple of other courses next year when the Trans Mountain Pipeline is due to come through that region. Meanwhile, we have two golf & travel articles that should pique golfer 's interests as the chances to again consider golf getaways begin to open up. Brad Ziemer visited a wonderful property, located about 90 minutes south PG 8 | NOV 2021
BRYAN OUTRAM Edit or

If you're a history buff please check out the chance to learn about Vancouver 's first golf club, the Jericho GC on page 34. BC Courses In Recovery After Major Storms Just two weeks into his new role as Chilliwack Golf Club?s Superintendent, Kaleb Fisher never could have expected a challenge like the one his facility is facing after the extreme weather events that have hit southern British Columbia in recent days. First, there was a rare tornado on Nov. 6 that left University Golf Club a mess with trees and branches down across the golf course. But many more facilities on Vancouver Island, the Lower Mainland and in the Fraser Valley are also now in recovery mode... READ COMPLETE STORY HERE PG 12 | NOV 2021
