You can see Brad Ziemer 's wrap-ups on page 12 & 14 as the Women's & Men's Mid-Amateur and Mid-Master champions were crowned at Talking Rock GC. Also, BC Golf continues to advocate for golf being accessible to all, and as such we have a link to a very important survey on page 16 for any golfer who has a physical or cognitive limitation. Even if you don't personally have a physical or cognitive limitation please forward the survey link to anyone you may know in that situation. Meanwhile, the UBC Women's Golf Team captured the NAIA Championship In Oklahoma, despite the bizarre & scary incident they encountered at PG 8 | M AY 2022
BRYAN OUTRAM Edit or
the outset of the tournament, Brad has that story on page 18. BC's North Pacific Junior Ladies Team were successful in their bid for an amazing 'Fivepeat' in the NPJLT Matches at the Home Course in Washington State, read about that on page 20. We also have an interview on page 26 with Surrey's Lauren Kim including how she found out she was competing in the U.S. Women's Open next month at Pine Needles in North Carolina. And, although the matches were not held the last two years due to Covid-19, BC Golf once again competed in the PNGA Lamey Cup against teams from the Washington, Oregon and Idaho golf associations, you can read about that on page 34. Enjoy your golf and please stay safe.

Hometown Triumph For Comox, BC's Riley Wheeldon In Final PGA TOUR Canada Q-School Riley Wheeldon will tell you it was a lot more than home course advantage that propelled him to his impressive performance in the final PGA TOUR Canada qualifying school for 2022 at Crown Isle Golf Resort. Sure, his intimate familiarity with the Crown Isle layout that is located not far from his childhood home in Comox came in handy, but Wheeldon credits an attitude adjustment with his solid play.
