From tee sheets crammed solid day after day with foursomes hitting golf courses across Alberta to suddenly having tee sheets filled with singles and twosomes, golf course operators have seen a dramatic swing in the pace of play, and payment. While there was little escape from the world of COVID-19 news over the past 14 months in Alberta, there was some room to avoid those ill tidings. INSIDE GOLF

A Course Called Albert a The Desire To Play Every Layout In The Province What could have been construed as an off-handed comment, made by husband to wife, turned the lives of Bob and Lynda Villeneuve into a multi-year golf adventure. Travelling down the Cowboy Trail in rural Alberta, Bob took note of the numerous golf courses scattered throughout this area of the province. That set his mind to whirling, eventually offering up this declaration: ?I want to play every course in Alberta and I want to start in Drayton Valley,? he proclaimed to Lynda. INSIDE GOLF

The next edition of The Match will feature PGA stars Phil Mickelson and Bryson DeChambeau along with NFL quarterbacks Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers. The celebrity fundraising competition will be held at the Reserve golf course at Moonlight Basin in Montana on July 6 and will be televised on TNT starting at 5 p.m. EDT, Turner Sports announced.
