Established in the late 1950 s, the WCTA represents over 700 members from throughout western Canada spanning several different sectors of the turfgrass management profession. BC is the primary area of WCTA membership followed by Alberta. Historically, golf course personnel represent approximately 45% of the WCTA membership while another 28% represent schools and municipalities. In BC, the WCTA s reach is 185 of 316 golf courses or 59%.

The WCTA website (www.wcta-online.com) is a constantly updated news and information source for the entire turfgrass industry. During the past 12 months, the WCTA s website has received more than more than 20,000 visits from more than 12,000 unique users. Approximately 90% of those visitors come from Canada and the USA. Visitor breakdown by province: BC .......67% AB ........16% ON ......11% The number of Unique Visitors has risen almost 30% since 2013. New (first time) visitors now account for more than 55% of visits. Average 2016 advertiser click-thru rates: 0.45%

Job Description: Oakcreek Golf & Turf provides sales and service of Toro Commercial Turf Care Equipment, Toro Golf Irrigation Product and Yamaha Golf Cars to the golf course and municipal grounds care markets in Western Canada. We also supply and service Pisten Bully Snow Cats for ski area grooming, cat-ski operations and industrial applications. Oakcreek employs approximately 90 people from six branch locations. Oakcreek Golf & Turf LP. has an open position for a Sales Representative to service an existing territory in Northern British Columbia. The position is based out of Oakcreek s Surrey office with the territory including the Fraser Valley and extending as far north as Prince George. The successful candidate will receive Salary, Bonus Plan, Company Vehicle, reimbursement of approved expenses and Benefit Plan. Responsibilities: Plan and organize weekly work schedule to call on existing customers and potential Golf and Municipal prospective customers. Promote new and used equipment demonstrations as required. Target sales efforts by reviewing existing customer s requirements and determining potential customer s requirements. Develop and submit customer orders in accordance with current price lists and programs in effect at the time of sale. Submit reports as scheduled to Management: ex. Weekly call reports, forecasts, annual territory analysis among others. Monitor and report on competitive activity within the territory. Review customer complaints and recommend resolutions to rectify in a timely manner. Be well versed on the features, benefits and operation of the company s product offering. Contribute to overall team efforts by meeting or exceeding agreed upon objectives. Some overnight travel is a requirement of the position. Qualifications and Skills: Turf Management diploma or degree is preferred. As well, applicants with a combination of education and practical experience in the industry will be considered. Capable of establishing and maintaining a professional relationship with existing and potential accounts. Motivated, self-starter, capable of performing the positions requirements without direct supervision. What s the difference between bleed and non-bleed advertisement? Bleed advertisements have the inks run right to the edge of the paper. Non-bleed advertisements have a border of whitespace (usually 1 inch) around them. What are some suggestions to include on a button advertisement? Your logo, phone number and address. The advertisement will link to your website so it is recommended to leave out your website from the design. It is a small space advertisement and the less text the better. What if there are any revisions to the ad I submitted? You can either resubmit the entire corrected file of if possible have the ad revised by our designers billed at $65 per hour Why can t I see my advertisement on the website? All ad spots are shared, your ad will not always appear on every page. Where do I submit my advertisement? All ad inquiries and submissions are to be sent to production@insidegolf.ca When submitting materials, what are the recommendations for logos and images? The bigger the better. High resolution images and vector logos are best. Will I get a proof of my advertisement when I send materials? Yes, if you submit materials for an advertisement we will send you a proof so you can see the final version, however, we do not send out proofs for ads submitted. I submitted my advertisement / ad materials but I haven t received a response? We always endeavor to receive and review the advertisement of materials within three working days but if we are at a peak production period, this may be delayed. If it is approaching a deadline, don t hesitate to follow up.
