INSTITUTE'S TEACHING METHODOLOGY The Institute offers a wide range of teaching methodologies including face-to-face classroom interaction, lectures, seminar presentations and online teaching. We also have a varied set of examination processes including peer group evaluation, coursework essays and group presentations. Students are encouraged to be participatory and employ original ideas and thinking rather than regurgitate textbook information and knowledge. Many of the classes are arranged to accommodate students who work during the day. The Institute practices a feminist pedagogy that allows for creativity and expansion of intellectual interests, integrating theory, activism and policy making; promoting gender sensitive and consciously aware masculine and feminine identities and fostering social transformation and opportunities for personal and sustainable development. The inter-disciplinarity of our programmes also ensures that students are exposed the widest range of scholars and scholarship on the campus.
