“Via Artis” (the street of art) is a collector’s edition of 51 copies with street photographs. Most of these photos were taken from 2017 until 2020, in England, Germany, Italy, Malta and Greece. Through street photography, I try to push the boundaries of realistic depiction, working with prime material from the world of experience while resisting mimesis and the impression of colors. My photos aim to introduce the viewer into the shadows of dreams. Simple geometries on a black-and-white canvas with gradations of gray. What I see and shoot are narrative and storytelling moments, like a very short film. Life is a movie. It is an art film that evolves around us every moment, with us in the leading role and all the others as supporting actors. Photography comes to give maximum value to the moment and to remind us that we are passers-by on this journey of life. From the beginning to the end and forever…
