A Thank You From Swallow To The Community

SWALLOW CHARITY

THANKS THE COMMUNITY

SWALLOW Charity, supporting local teenagers and adults with learning disabilities, would like to send a big thank you to the people of Midsomer Norton and beyond. The charity has been touched by the kindness and generosity of the local community during the last year in which SWALLOW has celebrated its 30th Anniversary.

Most recently, Gordon Mackay, the Mayor of Midsomer Norton, held a Burns Night in aid of SWALLOW, which raised over £550. It was a fantastic event, some SWALLOW members went along and had a lovely time trying out the haggis. The Midsomer Norton Methodist Church continues to be a generous supporter of the charity, through their various fundraising activities over Christmas.

Back before Christmas, the Midsomer Norton and Radstock Rotary Club organised a carol concert in St John’s Church where the SWALLOW choir sang, and this is just one way that the Rotary Club has supported the charity through the year. And it’s not just fundraising activities that benefit the charity – SWALLOW members were absolutely delighted to play a cricket match at the Midsomer Norton Cricket Club last autumn.

SWALLOW relies on the support of the local community, to continue enabling over 170 local people with learning disabilities to live their lives to the full. Everyone at SWALLOW would like to say a very big ‘thank you!’ to all the people who have supported the charity locally.
