Keeping Westfield tidy
Six-year-old Tilly has recently been learning about the importance of keeping our streets and green spaces litter free at her school in Kilmersdon.
During a recent visit to her grandparents' house in Waterford Park, she was not happy (clearly from the photo!) about the amount of litter around the estate near their house. She was keen to help and asked if they could go on a litter pick.
Here is a photo of her (complete with litter picking stick!) and all the rubbish she collected around one culde-sac. This was then recycled or put in the bin rather than ending up in our local hedgerows and rivers.
What a fantastic example of how the power of education can give everyone of any generation the chance to set an example to others, as we all look to protect and upkeep our local green spaces.
