Kharkiv airport was launched on 6, December 1932. In 1936 Kharkiv airport was acknowledged as the best airport in USSR.
The airport hosts the first Routes CIS. The President of Ukraine opens the new passenger terminal.

OPENING OF THE CARGO TERMINAL
During the days of EURO-2012 group games the airport handled the highest number of passengers among other Ukrainian host cities airports (except KBP) (up to 9 000 pax every day) and got a number of commendations from European airlines which carried football fans to and from Kharkiv.
The Cargo Terminal with a total area of 1100 m2 is equipped according to European security standards.
