On the cover: Tenerife Espacio de las Artes (TEA) di Santa Cruz, Tenerife. The Cestello system was created in 1986 for lighting display areas and for any setting in which lighting must be extremely flexible to fit various applications, whilst guaranteeing a high visual comfort. One of the characteristics which makes this system so versatile is that each lamp assembly can be independently adjusted.

Cestello can be fitted to the wall or the ceiling, longitudinallly or transversally. Cestello is also able to produce a wide beam of light, while reducing the light/shadow contrast on illuminated objects.

Gem was created by a coordinated team and by Paul Andreu, one of contemporary architecture's great protagonists. It is the fruit of an innovative relationship between light and space. Gem is a fitting developed for extreme uses, 24 hours a day, with fluorescent or metal halide lamps. Gem has two polycarbonate shells with photoengraving derived from anti-UV treatments and the moulding process.

The surface of the aluminium reflectors has tiny holes to highlight the volume perceived. Steady performance, long-lasting and energy-saving features combined with elegant shapes and new functional approaches: Gem is an innovative solution imbued with technology in both the formal concept and the functional quality. Gem comes in two versions: either with light directed downwards only or (thanks to a double reflector) with light directed downwards and upwards.

Easy installation and maintenance

• Compact FL versions for general lighting and luminance control can install special diffusers (sandblasted or clear) to guarantee IP44 (round version). • In the FL versions, by means of a device mounted above the dissipator, the lamp-holder can be positioned in accordance with the light source used. • LED, discharge and CFL versions are supplied with electronic control gear. Control gears must be ordered separately for HIT lamps with G12 socket. Traditionally distinguished by exact unmistakable design, the Sistema Easy FL line is enriched with a new downlighter developed to meet new application requirements: Sistema Easy FL 250. Designed for use with fluorescent lamps, with multiwatt system, it is characterised by the large diameter of the lighting fixtures that guarantees a very high luminous output. The range of downlighters with reduced diameter is integrated with new models using last-generation

PL-R compact fluorescent lamps, additionally improving the efficiency/ cost effectiveness ratio. Thanks to the improved flexibility, Sistema Easy finds its ideal application in public or large spaces (including with considerable height). The use of the innovative dark-light screen delivers high visual comfort also in areas with VDUs, guaranteeing UGR<19. The heat dissipator of the entire series allows for controlling operating temperatures to obtain maximum performance in total safety.
