The multitude of optics available with iGuzzini recessed fittings makes them more versatile and adaptable to each and every situation. The typical lighting from the bottom up is enriched by the different optics that are available, which have many functions.

From spot optics that are used to light large vertical objects to flood optics that offer a wide and homogeneous distribution of the light flow. The glass’ surface temperature is 75° C or less, unless otherwise indicated. • Fittings have a decompression box with double PG that allows for series-type cable arrangement. The box is separated from the optical assembly to avoid, when the lamp is operating, depression phenomena and the resulting formation of humidity inside the fitting.

Ledplus, an avant-guard line for interior and exterior lighting, can be both wall recessed and ground recessed. This recessed fitting range has opened up new lighting opportunities by using LED (Light Emitting Diode) technology. These fittings make pedestrian surfaces more visible, and walls seem lighter, adding value to all architecture. The ground version is perfectly flush and has a minimum visual impact on the architecture. The monochromatic versions can

interface with the Effect Equalizer device to make dynamic lighting effects, on-off, alternating and chasing lights. Besides lighting, the user can also control the mix of colour to create light scenes with the Colour Equalizer device. Ledplus fittings have low energy consumption. They are long-life shock- and vibration- resistant, therefore they basically need no maintenance. Ledplus is ideal for many different types of uses, even in areas that are not easily accessible.

Recessed Fittings Interior spaces and exterior architecture need to have distinct personalities, character, strong identities; they must be able to communicate with those who live and breathe those spaces. Light plays a special role because it touches people and things, bringing out emotions and profoundly influencing us and the way we perceive space. In this scenario, recessed lighting represents often the ideal choice when fulfilling every design requirement: it indicates pathways, lights buildings, parks, gardens, and architectural details. It creates rich and creative sets for light design. It meshes with discretion into various types of spaces and it fuses with the ground creating minimal visual impact, respecting the value and the architectural identity of green spaces, magnifying their special features. This presentation of iGuzzini recessed fittings (ground/floor) is intended to be a guide for architects, designers, and lighting designers. It presents the characteristics and main product pluses of the fittings, but it also specifies how they are ideally applied to spaces. In each specific area and/or application, light responds to various needs and requirements, and the ideal instrument should assist in the development of the most suitable lighting design project for that space. We also discuss key themes like energy savings, safety and visual comfort. Guaranteeing light quality is, in fact, a way to always offer optical instruments that are able to ensure elevated performance while respecting human beings and the environment that surrounds us. These are values that have always been a part of iGuzzini’s company philosophy.

iGuzzini The History and Company Philosophy We have worked in and for “light” since 1958. This was the year when the Harvey Creazioni, a small company that produced lamps for the home, was founded. Today we are the leading Italian manufacturer in the “Lighting” market, and we rank among the top European manufacturers. We aren’t satisfied by simply making good lights.
