audio & video distribution shinybow shinybow cat 5 transmission systems The Shinybow CAT 5 transmission systems allow combinations of audio & video signals to be transmitted and distributed over long distances with as little loss in signal quality as possible. Signal loss and noise can be a problem when sending audio and video over long distances using traditional screened cables. The Shinybow CAT 5 transmission systems overcome this by using the properties of CAT 5 cable and low-noise, high-speed signal amplifiers. Typically these systems can operate over distances up to 300m (1000ft) before a signal repeater is required. A transmission system can be built-up using combinations of the various transmitters, receivers and repeater/receivers available to make your audio/video distribution as complex as your needs.

The repeater/receivers provide a local output so that a signal can be distributed to multiple points by “daisy-chaining” multiple receiver/repeaters to a single transmitter. Each of the transmission systems is dedicated to specific kinds of signals and are incompatible with each other - devices from different systems should not be combined. Note: Although the same CAT 5 cable is used, these systems are not compatible with computer networking - the two systems should not be connected together. The transmission system should not be connected to a computer network port, network hub, modem or similar device.
