TADASHI ITO

INSPIRATION

TADASHI ITO My Inspiration is TADASHI ITO’s work. He is a Japenese ceramic artist. He was strongly influenced by nature’s forms. Peering inside some of the shells half-exposed by erosion, he sometime feels he glimpses some hidden secrets of the universe. My inspiration is these natural colors and these textures and forms.

FABRIC EXPLORATIONS

My basic motive is to focus on textures, colors and forms so, I explore these fabric by burning, stiching, so that i can have these deep textures and colors.

This was the one which I take forward into my final garment. I made this texture by using 100 percent cotton fabric then I dip this into coffee so, that it can gives the natural color and then I burn this with the blow gun so, that it gives the deep color and textures of the sand, the nature.

Nature, Historical places, I take this as my Inspiration, as we all see this in our day to day life. After, taking this as a inspiration, we are supposed to do the step by step less detailed sketches and then explore them into the garment illustrations.

PROJECT - 3

ORIGAMI PROJECT

We are expected to make something with origami sheets. Then we have to capture the process of every step, then we have to explore the whole step by exploring this as a garment. By choosing the final garment we have to make this garment with paper and then with the final muslin fabric.

FINAL GARMENT

This is my final garment which is a Hoodie that I made in the process of making fish with an origami. Further, I made this with the paper like a sample with the same process and then further with the final muslin garment.

INSPIRATION KEY WORDS UNARRANGED IRREGULAR FLAW UNTIDINESS ASSYMETRIC

CONCEPT NOTE I am focussing on the upper garment which is going to be a gender neutral garment, by using waste pieces of mixed cotton that can be reused to show disheveled,i.e. untidy, messiness in my work by depicting the beauty of every fabric, material or an individual, whether they are good or bad, male or female, perfect or imperfect, everyone has their own beauty, so, which i want to show the perfection in imperfection, so my final theme is Finding The Beauty In Imperfection.

FINDING THE BEAUTY IN IMPERFECTION

CONCEPT In my Final Garment, I am showing this patches as my inspiration of this little old natural textures which shows Imperfection. It’s a gender neutral garment, as I believe everyone has their own beauty whether they are male or female. The colors are inspired by the deep earthy colors of nature and also these colors are also common when it comes to unisex fashion, and the fabric. The fabric that I chose was mixed cotton because it is sensitive to touch and comfortable to wear. My garment seems to be unfinished but the motive behind this is to show imperfection.
