The 9th Biennial ALA/IIDA Library Interior Design Awards honor excellence in library interior design and promotes examples of extraordinary design reflected through innovative concepts across nine categories.


JURORS

Toni Garvey, IIDA Founder and Principal Garvey Library Consulting For over 23 years, Toni Garvey has proudly contributed her extensive library planning, construction, and renovation expertise to help build better access for communities to new and reimagined Libraries. Garvey has helped establish over 16 libraries across the United States, and received the Library Journal, 2004 Librarian of the Year.

As a community builder, Fiona Grandowski, partner of Collins Cooper Carusi Architects, applies modern design thinking to create enduring spaces for people to gather, connect, reflect and thrive. Grandowski designs to forge emotional bonds between individuals and the built space, as well as the community they serve.

Hillary L’Ecuyer, associate interior designer with Hollis + Miller Architects, embraces interior design as the intersection of storytelling, creative problem solving, and the embodiment of beauty that supports and empowers inhabitants of every background. Focusing on educational design, L’Ecuyer harnesses her passion for life-long learning with mission-fit furniture and supportive design elements.
