about couture

Architects & Interior Designers, as well as design students, located within the IIDA Southwest Chapter, are randomly paired with a color theme from Sherwin Williams Colormix Color Forecast 2022 and an industry manufacturer’s material and/or product. They are then challenged to create and model a fashion that is created using only those colors/ themes & materials. A panel of judges will select the winners!

The design teams spend months crafting these amazing designs, using limited materials and resources. The final designs they create (some made of such unique materials such as mosaic tile or carpet yarn), which they model in a true fashion show setting, prove for fun and exciting night.

about connect4 annual patrons

Connect4 is a biennial event for the IIDA Southwest Chapter. This event occurs on the odd numbered years (opposite of our Couture Event). We are proud to say some of our proceeds from tonight’s event will be used to fund Connect4 2023.

This philanthropic event promises to make a huge difference in our community and in communities across the Southwest. This event is a planned event which will occur in all four of our Chapter’s City Centers: Albuquerque + Las Vegas + Phoenix + Tucson coming together in the spirit of the 4C’s: Collaboration + Community + Compassion + Creativity

The culmination of this event is a “Build Day” in which, each City Center has a philanthropic “build day” weekend where we use our expertise, creativity, resources and volunteer labor to re-design a pre-chosen space that benefits a local community organization.

You can become involved in a variety of ways!

• Volunteer your time or expertise on the actual Build Day

• Get involved in one of the event planning committees in your nearest City Center.

• Donate to an individual City Center or the event as a whole.

• Donate in-kind materials such as paint, carpet, resilient flooring, furniture, lighting, audio-visual materials, etc.
