Journalists meet on climate Change From Hir Joseph, lafia JOURNALISTS across the nation are to participate in an Abuja media forum with stakeholders working to build adaptation to climate change in the country, a statement from Prof. Chinedum Nwajiuba, the Executive Director, Nigerian Environmental Study/Action Team (NEST) has said. NEST is working on a

pilot project titled 'Building Nigeria's Response to Climate Change (BNRCC)'. The project is aimed at building informed responses to climate change in Nigeria by enhancing capacity at all levels of government for effective climate change adaptation strategies, poliCies and actions. BNRCC is funded by the Canadian International

Development Agency (CIDA) and is being managed and implemented by a consortium of consultants in partnership with NEST. The forum entails commIssioning' and presentation of the outcome of the project and climate change documentary for Nigeria as carried out by partners across the agro-ecological zones of the country.

The statement which was made available to Daily Trust said the event would hold next Monday with the theme "Nigeria's Response to Climate Change and the media: ChalleBges and Prospects." The' project recorded significant advances in its implementation through the engagement of partners in and community-based pilot projects across the country.
