Playful Breton pugnaciousness Naoned, or Nantes in Breton, is a collection of eyewear that is just like its residents. Well-made, reliable, functional and a little pugnacious but simultaneously warm, playful and very admiring of everything that Brittany’s nature has to offer. And then God created the first eyewear collection in the French Grand-Ouest - ‘DÔN’, goddess of the sea, made from algae. It’s a first in terms of the material used, but that’s only the beginning of an incredibly beautiful story... Naoned offers eyewear that are exceptional without being extravagant. http://www.naonedeyewear.bzh/ Distribution in Benelux, Scandinavia, Iceland, Lithuania, Estonia and Latvia. 9

100% Adaptable French Eyewear iHUMAN offers technology, design, comfort and quality that meets the needs and wishes of anyone who wears glasses as well as a quickly evolving society. Downsizing is key to the iHuman Pocket series, which includes glasses that fit in a case that is just as long as and slightly thicker than an iPhone. Basically, glasses that are adapted to our lifestyle: Adaptable Eyewear.

(ek-si-té) Life excites me… Lionel Belet, former head designer for IDC and seven-time winner of the prestigious Silmo d’Or design prize, lives and works in Marseille. Marseille gives his eyewear collection XIT its warm, playful and varied colours, prints and shapes. The most recent series of glasses is printed with lyrics from Neil Young, the Beatles and other pop icons along with poetry from Charles Baudelaire’s “Les fleurs du Mal” (The Flowers of Evil) give you a true feeling of excitement. The XIT glasses are playful, classic and trendy all at once, but without losing that French je ne sais quoi. http://www.xiteyewear.com Distribution in Benelux, Scandinavia, Iceland, Lithuania, Estonia and Latvia. 13

Sit back and just enjoy your view‌ German Eyewear Master Markus Temming has been designing the Markus T glasses since 1999, which overflows with deutsche Grßndlichkeit, or German efficiency. Premium, functional glasses, 100% Made in Germany. These glasses are smart, technological constructions that provide the utmost comfort while wearing and using them. All of the frames are designed without using screws, putting in the lenses is child’s play, and the small, square hinges ensure low-maintenance ease of use. More than 30 international and national design awards emphasise the innovative, creative Markus T character. http://www.markus-t.com Distribution in the Netherlands. 15

Eyes meet Art Every last detail of the sculpted acetate design by eyewear designer and Master Optician Philip Hoet sends you sailing off into daydreams. Every millimetre of the design is equally important because these are miniature sculptures that require a maximum amount of material. Their construction guarantees a remarkable fit and balance. The striking colours and shapes of the acetate are created by a small studio in Italy. An artisan studio in the French region of Jura creates the frames of his glasses. This faithfulness to pure craftsmanship is what gives this collection its unparalleled Philip Hoet touch. http://www.philiphoeteyewear.com Distribution Worldwide. 17

Intelligent design made in France The French Night collection particularly calls out to a generation that are taking their first steps into their new lives while still holding onto the old ones. The frames are both functional and full of youthful charm. The innovative technologies used in these glasses offer added value to the wearing comfort. French Night is a collection by the same design house that created the iHuman collection, so the quality is guaranteed.

Upscale cosmopolitan! Selima Salaun is the creative force behind ‘Selima Optique’. Selima has been the forerunner of trendsetting design that’s also perfect for everyday wear since 1993. Tradition and modernism - also cultivated by the then often more raw urbanity - are flawlessly woven together to create this innovative eyewear. So it’s no surprise that a great many celebrities, corporate CEOS, fashion designers, etc. fall for the masterful frames by Selima Optique. (Ryan Gosling, Chloe Sevigny, Lenny Kravitz, Marina Abramovic and John Turturro, among others... just to drop a few names. http://selimaoptique.com Distribution worldwide. 21

Provocative Swiss quality einSTOFFen has been making clothing and accessories for the discerning, trendy cosmopolitan since 2008. The frames are handmade in either wood or a mix of wood and acetate. The designs are trendsetting, but always allow enough room to add an original accent: Swiss quality goes hand in hand with a traditional, yet playful design. Their motto is ‘a bit outside the norm’; innovative but still fair and square.

East meets West The creative minds at Muzik are jacks of all trades - film, fashion, design, marketing and eyewear - and are active in the UK, France and South Korea. The common denominator here is music, which serves as the inspiration for their musical theme and the name of their eyewear. They are not only creative, but incredibly professional because their standard for production is “Only the best is good enough. The incredibly varied collections are also handmade using Mazzucchelli acetate, lenses from Divel Italia and Visottica hinges made by an atelier in France with more than 35 years of experience. A brand like no other! http://www.muzik.co.kr Distribution in Benelux. 29

A steely bit of optics Muzik Creative Label - the creative consortium behind Muzik eyewear - launched Stealer in 2014 at the Silmo trade fair in Paris. Steel serves as the foundation for this collection. It may seem strange at first, but steel is a material with endless possibilities, resulting in a collection that is rich in variation and design, including the well-known product quality provided by the parent company. Handmade using the very best materials. http://www.stealer.co.kr Distribution in Benelux. 31

‘Child-proof’ Nano Vista is the kids’ collection by the well-established Spanish GVOptics. The frames are incredibly durable, with a thermo-adjustable fit, and are highly flexible thanks to the patented material Siliflex. Plus, these frames are up to 35% lighter and the ends of the temples are adjustable to ensure maximum comfort when worn. However, it is really the exceptional flexibility and the exclusive “S2” hinges that make these colourful frames absolutely “child-proof”. http://nanovista.es Distribution in Scandinavia. 33

Italian-functional-high quality-elegant. Bastà! The Italian Eblock concept was developed in 2012 by the founder of SOM Eyewear, Giovanni Sommavilla. The Easy Block, or Eblock, creates “un’esperienza particolare”, that special moment, for both the optician and the consumer. The lenses are mounted in an instant using the specially designed Eblock key. And for the person wearing the glasses? The Easy Block locking system ensures that the lenses never get loose or fall out of the frames. The ring around the lenses of these glasses are kept together without a screw in a locking system. http://www.eblock.it Distribution in Benelux, Scandinavia, Iceland, Lithuania, Estonia and Latvia. 35

Modern evergreens Nathalie Fordeyn, 28 years old and of Belgian-Thai descent, first studied at the University of Dundee and then studied fashion at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts Antwerp. Before launching her own collection in 2014, she worked for renowned designers such as Diane von Furstenberg, John Galliano and Sonia Rykiel. Not only does she design clothing, she also designs frames, with the consistent basic requirements being comfort, quality and environmentally friendliness. The fusion of minimalism and surrealism is unique, but above all authentic, timeless and still modern. http://www.nathaliefordeyn.com Distribution in Benelux. 37

Uniquely yet authentically Italian Catuma is a young Italian brand that doesn’t just design - it innovates. Their desire for perfection in design and their study of innovative materials has created collections that are more than deserving of the label “Made in Italy”. Innovative materials such as carbon, steel and most especially stone - and the combination of all of these - result in pure design poetry. Catuma exudes the typical Italian flair, in which unparalleled style and craftsmanship meld into an exceptionally passionate whole.
