Shortson https://soundcloud.com/shortson Shortson is a 19 year old DJ/Producer from Exeter, Devon.

This Drum & Bass badman started mixing from the age of 16, he mainly focuses on the dark/ techy side of D&B, Jungle and Neurofunk, but will still tear up some Fidget and Electro vibes.

He’s also supported huge artists such as: Selecta J Man, Netsky, High Contrast, Camo & Krooked, Danny Byrd, Fred V & Grafix, Drumsound & Bassline Smith, Sharkman, Mr Nice and Maxxi P.

Super Smash Bros. https://soundcloud.com/ike-bevan Super Smash Bros. consist of two 20 year old partiers dedicated to getting the dancefloor pumping, playing a variety of genres such as, Electro, Fidget, Funky House, Bassline, Breaks and more they’re sure to get your feet moving! Since they started mixing in 2010 they’ve made quite an impact on the southwest music scene, smashing nightclubs from Banstable all the way up to Bristol, whilst still tearing up the party scene getting the ravers stompin. After making their Bristol debut in December at Devtek, they’ve had multiple offers to play

up in Bristol at massive nights such as, Diggit, BigLarge plus more. They’ve supported artists such as Selecta Jman, Sharkman, Dephicit, Olmec, MonkeyLogic, Fidgician, DrumSound & BasslineSmith. These two are sure to give you a night to remember, putting on an avin it show with a few cheeky suprises in their sets. If you see Mario and Luigi behind a pair of decks you know you’ve gone to the right place!

Upcoming djs Sharkman https://soundcloud.com/sharky-major Emerging on land from the great ocean, Jake (SharkMan) started mixing on the free party scene from the age of 16. Since then he has exploded onto the club and festival circuit mixing in clubs all over the South West and Bristol including the Black Swan and Lakota and at festivals such as Bestival, Rockness, Glade, Beach Break, Boomtown and many more as well as in Europe at Freekuency in Portugal and Teknivals in France. Joining forces with many promoters over the years including Arcadia, BigLarge, Bambi Legs, Brock Out, Resonate, DMT, The Deep End, Beats & Bass and co running the mighty Backlash Sound System. He started mixing drum and bass as a bedroom dj and at outdoor events and then moved onto breakz, electro and filthy fidget, skanking as hard as the his fellow ravers, swimming through the wobbles in his shark costume everywhere he goes. Backlash Sound System are a group of events industry professionals based in Exeter who in their spare time host some of the most legendary parties to ever happen in the South West of England. DJ’s play a variety of bass heavy music that is sure to get any dance floor moving. The system consists of Turbosound Floodlight mid/tops, Funktion One F121 Sub Bass enclosures, all driven by Mc2 Amplifiers & controlled by XTA Speaker Management. In the past Backlash’s been involved/worked with promoters and events such as, Bare Safe, Rave Yard, Jam the Channel, The Resistance - The Uprising, The Fusion Project, The Deep End , DevTek, recharged, RE:SOUND Beats, Wreckreation,Dubstep: The Next Step, Beats and Bass, Consequence, Rinseout, Fat Jackin’, Pams House, South West Underground, Beats Working, Synchronicity, Bad Robot, Full Phat, Brock Out, DNB Asylum and Blackout to name just a few.

Since Backlash have been back on the scene they’ve hosted a number of events to help advertise and support the soundsystem, the events included; Backlash: A New Beginning, Backlash: Smash Back and the most recent event Backlash: Force Majeure which went off like a chinese firework in a phone box, with every DJ smashing their sets and all the ravers stomping their socks off, the night was a huge success. The venue; Cellar Door managed to sell out the fastest it ever has done before and many happy faces during and after the event, it was gauranteed to be a night to remeber for all involved.
