At the time, few American corporations used abstract symbols for their identification. Radical for its time, the Chase symbol has survived a number of subsequent mergers, and is currently the property of JPMorgan Chase & Co. It has become one of the world's most recognizable trademarks.

To broaden its appeal, CI redefined its mission in 2009, focusing on humankind’s reliance on nature. The organization came to Chermayeff & Geismar & Haviv for a mark that would match its new message. A simple blue circle underlined with green symbolizes our blue planet—emphasized, supported, and sustained—as well as a unique human form.

We listen, research and challenge. We remove noise to add value. O Architecture O Architecture is a small architecture studio based in Lille, France, working in a wide range of disciplines. With their simple name, we wanted to create a bold logo mark to gather all their different projects under a focused symbol. The solid circle with the disruption creates a triangle reminiscent of an A — a bold symbol for easy application.

NK · Norske Kunsthåndverkere The Norwegian Association for Arts and Crafts (NK) is working to promote and support and support contemporary crafts nationally and internationally. NK currently holds over 850 professional practicing artists and makers. The NK monogram is redesigned to reflect the strategy of the association: NK wanted a simpler and more elegant logo to express their profile as a professional and modern organization. Legibility issues with the old logotype were solved by using a Bodoni style typeface, thus making it more readable as letters, as well as scaling up the typography. We also supplied the identity with graphic elements based on the logo. NK’s webpage norskekunsthandverkere.no is redesigned together with Mesén. Whereas their old web was mainly focused on the members needs, the new website is aiming at a broader audience: As a visual showcase for Norwegian arts and crafts with a big and updated events calendar, a public members archive, as well as vital information for the members.

Re-public ApS was founded in 1999 by CEO Morten Windelev. The agency employs five senior designers and a varying number of project-based and part-time affiliates. Alex Poulsen Architects Alex Poulsen Architects (APA) was founded in 1944 by Alex Poulsen (1910-1999), one of the most advanced and sought after architects of his time. But even an established studio with a long history is subject to constant change. In working with the new identity, we have set ourselves in the place of the architect and experimented with the use of space and building blocks as a foundation for the logo. The individual letterforms can be deconstructed and re-assembled in different ways – and when completed, they make up the triangular logo which rests solidly on the foundation of the company name. The result is a firm, yet light and playful visual expression, in-line with the architectural premise. Representation, statement, and dynamics complement each other to form a harmonious unit. The complete identity combines all the elements that make up Alex Poulsen Arkitekter: a Nordic, old-established corporate philosophy with a high level of professionalism and innovative power. NIUCO
