The Art of the Sound CLAUDIA MOLDOVAN
~Woodworker & Soundwave Artist.
I started my company 5 years ago and for the first few years, my art consisted of decorative geometrical wooden sculptures until one day, a friend pointed out that one of my pieces looked like a soundwave and suggested I add meaning to my art by recording my voice and creating an art piece following the pattern of its waves. That was the start of my wooden soundwaves.

When I started the business, I didn’t know anything about woodworking, I was breaking rules I did not even know existed. It’s been a long journey and I keep learning new techniques every day to improve my pieces.
Through my artwork, I create visual representations of sound that not only captivates the eye, but it also represents the rhythm of the audio. They are meaningful and a great conversation piece. I love working with wood. I find that the natural textures and grains of the wood add a unique character to each piece. My goal is to add meaning to the idea of sound, making it not just something we hear, but something we can see and touch as well. I have made everything from a baby’s hiccups, songs, to memorable quotes.
